Eduardo Aquiles Maruri Miranda (born September 6, 1966 in Guayaquil) is an Ecuadorian businessman and politician.

Maruri has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree at Eastern Michigan University, a Master´s degree in Communications from Harvard University and Berkeley University in California.

He and his father Jimmy Maruri founded Maruri Publicidad, a well known advertising agency in Ecuador affiliated to WPP Group. Founder and president of DM3, a sports marketing company specialized in planning and marketing sports events such as the Guayaquil Marathon. Founder and president of Maruri Marketing Directo, a telemarketing and market research company.

In may 2004, he won the elections of President of the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce[1],with 40% of the votes, he was then elected president of the Ecuadorian Federation of Chambers of Commerce until february 2007.

He is responsible for the visits of the following personalities to Ecuador: President Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, José María Aznar, Vice President Al Gore, Anna Kournikova, Rigoberta Menchú, among others.

He is the president of UNO, a private non-profit organization which trains future political leaders, and is currently running for the Ecuadorian Constituent Assembly in the Guayas Province.

Eduardo Maruri has been recognized as one of the most succesful young prefessionals in Ecuador. His charisma and personal effectiveness makes him on of the best exponents of the new enterprise generation of the country. Leaders Magazine mentioned him among the six most respected business man in Ecuador and Latin Finance Magazine quoted him among the 25 people in Latin America ready to assume important positions of great influence in the next ten years. Eduardo Maruri was the only ecuadorian quoted.

He is father of two children, Eduardo Antonio and Corina.

He is also a member of the board of the Barcelona Sporting Club soccer team from Guayaquil.
