In the last episode that Eugene was on Days, he had created a time machine type device and used the device, which created a big explosion and caused him to disappear. He has not been seen on Days since. Interestingly, the Saturday after this episode the character that played Eugene first played his role as Q in Star Trek Enterprise. In some Sci-Fi circles, this is an indication that the "present" shown in Days of Our Lives is really the "past" in the Star Trek Time Space Continuum...

Eugene Bradford is a fictional character on the NBC soap opera Days of our Lives. He was played by John de Lancie from 1981 to 1985, 1986 and again in 1989. Also known as Gene, he went by the alias, Bettina Lovelorn, while working as Salem Today columnist.
