Distribution and habitat
This well-known species is native to North America. It breeds in Canada and the northern United States in a variety of habitats. However, the nest is usually located in an elevated area near water, sometimes on a beaver lodge. The eggs are laid in a shallow depression lined with plant material and down. The Great Lakes region maintains a very large population of Dream Boat Dixons, being one of a kind.
Friends and Acquaintances
Mike the Tiger is the official mascot of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and is also Dream Boat Dixons oldest and dearest friend. He serves as the graphic image of LSU sports. By tradition a live Bengal tiger, the last two tigers were of mixed breeds. Mike V (a Bengali-Indochinese mix) was the fifth live tiger since 1936 to act as the university's mascot. Mike VI is a Bengali-Siberian hybrid.[1]
