Mark Freiburger (born July 16, 1983 in Roanoke, Virginia) is an American filmmaker. Freiburger grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended the North Carolina School of the Arts where he studied Directing [1].
Film Work
- Recently completed his feature directorial debut with the 2008 independent feature Dog Days of Summer starring Will Patton, Richard Herd Devon Gearhart, Colin Ford and Megan Blake.
- In 2007, was hired to pen one draft of the novel adaptation for The Sacrifice by Author Robert Whitlow. Filmmaker Gary Wheeler will direct, marking his second film collaboration with Whitlow. (Wheeler and Whitlow's first collaboration was on the 2007 indie film The List.)
- Directed the 2005 short film, Booth, a fictional and magical realist portrayal of the events surrounding the assassination of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. The film was written by screenwriters Travis Beacham and Christopher J. Waild. The film premiered in 2005 at the Directors Guild of America Theater in Los Angeles, California[2].
