Ishizu (or Isis, Ishizu is what her names sounds like when pronounced in Japanese, which 4Kids took as the literal pronounciation) is the sister of [[Marik Ishtar]] (Or Malik, as his name is Middle Eastern in origin). She became a museum curator in order to lure [[Yugi Mutou]] (Yugi Moto in the English anime) and [[Seto Kaiba]] in order to save Marik from his darker alter ego, Dark Marik (Yami Marik). She is also the reincarnation of one of the six priests who served Pharaoh Atemu. She held the Millennium Tauk (also known as the Millennium Necklace in the Engliah anime) until she passed it down to Yugi. The reason she did that is because the Millennium Tauk no longer responded to her because the future it showed her was changed by Kaiba.

Ishizu Ishtar (イシズ・イシュタール Ishizu Ishutāru) is a character in the manga Yu-Gi-Oh! and the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (known internationally as simply Yu-Gi-Oh!). Her name is sometimes rendered by fans as "Isis Ishtar".

Ishizu is the sister of Marik Ishtar (commonly rendered "Malik"). She became a museum curator in order to lure Yugi Mutou (Yugi Moto in the English anime) and Seto Kaiba in order to save Marik from his darker alter ego, Dark Marik (Yami Marik). She is also the reincarnation of one of the six priests who served Pharaoh Atem. She held the Millennium Tauk until she passed it down to Yugi. The reason she did that is because the Millennium Tauk no longer responded to her because the future it showed her was changed by Kaiba.

After the Pharaoh recovers his memories and his name in the Egyptian Arc, Ishizu, her brother Marik, and adopted brother Rishid (Odion in the English anime) lead Yugi and his friends to the tomb of the Pharaoh in order for Pharaoh Atem and Yugi to have a final duel in order to determine if the spirit will move on to the afterlife or remain in the present.

Ishizu's name derives from the Egyptian deity Isis and the Mesopotamian deity Ishtar.
