A quick introduction
I'm a Brit but lived in San Francisco for nearly ten years; I have recently moved to New York.
Since my Welsh username is ambiguous I'm male but it's no big deal if you get the pronouns wrong.
Admin Actions
I am an admin on Wikipedia, which means I'm here to help. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if there's something I can do for you.
You can review my actions as an admin at any time. Please feel free to ask about any of them on my talk page. Yes, sometimes I make mistakes; I hope not often but it happens and I will try to correct them when I do.
Railway Interests
I'm a lifelong railway enthusiast, especially of the narrow gauge railways of Wales. I'm a life member and former volunteer on the Corris Railway and also an ex-volunteer of the Leighton Buzzard Railway. I'm currently working on a monumentally over-ambitious project to create the British narrow gauge railways, and British industrial narrow gauge railways, a history of narrow gauge railways in the UK and a comprehensive list of all of them. Also dabbling with the Minimum gauge railways page and a few other railway projects in the Wiki world.
If it runs on rails less than Template:3ft6in apart, I'm pretty much guaranteed to be interested.
This user is a member of WikiProject Trains, a WikiProject which aims to expand coverage of rail transport on Wikipedia. |
Link
Re the Locomotive tender article, I object to your deleting the link I put in on the basis that as it was US practice only so not really helpful. But how many website articles will cover practice throughout the world? I think a regional article can still be useful, and worth linking to.
The Wiki article itself has no definition of a Vanderbilt tender and I had put in this link as I had linked the article to my amendment of NZR G class (1928). Previously this article red-linked to "Vanderbuilt" (sic). Hugo999 (talk) 19:52, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Computer Interests
I've been playing with computers since 1981 when I taught myself to program on a ZX81. Here on Wikipedia I'm contributing to some Computer Science articles, particularly those related to Macintosh and AI.
