Kit is a heterosexual woman who is struggling with alcoholism, and trying to get her life in order. Kit has one son named David Watters (a doctor) whom she is estranged from due to her past alcoholism and David's homophobia. She has been romantically linked to Ivan Aycock, a non-op transgendered/lesbian cross-dresser, Benjamin Bradshaw, a motivational speaker and Angus, a musician and male nanny a.k.a "manny" to Bette and her former partner Tina. Kit also had a brief sexual encounter with Eva "Papi" Torres, during which she realized she was straight.
Season Four
In season 4, a menopausal Kit has an abortion, with then lover Angus. Angus was rejected by his own band, and fell into a deep depression. Kit laters finds out from Tina that Angus was sleeping with her nanny. This prompts Kit to leave Angus and find comfort in alcohol and newfound friend Papi. Kit and Papi had a brief sexual encounter in episode 4.11 Literary License To Kill. In the same episode, Kit is seen at The Planet snorting an unknown substance, after which she runs to Angus for help. Kit is seen in the season finale, episode 4.12 Long Time Coming, laying in Angus' arms on the beach, during Tasha's going away party.
Season Five
During the time that passed between the last episode of Season 4 and the first episode of Season 5, Kit breaks up with Angus, claiming she needed a fresh start. Kit was robbed at gunpoint early in the season, at The Planet. Kit starts a rivalry with Miami-based promoter Dawn Denbo, whose Shebar nightclub is across the street from The Planet. This conflict escalates, including Denbo planting rats in The Planet and Kit calling the police about Shebar serving underage patrons alcohol, until Bette negotiates a truce between the two parties. However, Denbo finds Ivan and buys out her 51 per cent interest in The Planet, making her the new owner.
