== Re: Bot on Serbian Wikipedia ==

Hello Sa&#353;a,

[[:sr:&#1050;&#1086;&#1088;&#1080;&#1089;&#1085;&#1080;&#1082;:RCBot]] is a bot currently being in development. Its purpose is to help with issues on the [[:commons:|Wikipedia Commons]]. There is only one task that the bot is supposed to do at the moment: help renaming media files on the commons.

Suppose there were two identical files (e.g. images) on the Commons that might even have been uploaded from different language Wikipedias. But media files on the Commons can be used in any language Wikipedia, for example in the Serbian WIkipedia, and so all languages need to be checked and &ndash; if necessary &ndash; the reference to the first file replaced by one to the other.

I noticed that you can read Bosnian, and I have a favor to ask of you. I just translated [[Stari Most]] from French (which is easy for me), but I noticed the German and Bosnian articles on it are much longer. I translate German --> English slowly, but I do not read Bosnian at all. If you could translate the Bosnian into English, I could then see if the German is just a translation of the Bosnian, and if not, incorporate the material there as well into the English article. == Serbian portal ==

As the amount of material somehow connected with Serbs and Serbia on Wikipedia grows, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to form a SCG/Serb portal, so that all the articles about famous Serbs, Serb history, the Serb republic etc are more closely interlinked. This would also provide the casual reader with a easy to use encyclopaedia of everything they could wish to know about RS, SCG, the Serb diaspora etc. Јес' да је Србија мала и да је мало Срба али ипак има Палестински портал, Doctor Who портал, зато нема разлога да и ми ово не покренемо. == Russian tsarinas ==

regarding the names of tsarinas of Russia: if from abroad, they changed their first name, such as Wilhelmina became Natalia Alexeievna, etc. Now, Wikipedia has certain rules that the so-called consort name is not to be used, because of several persons being e.g Empress Maria Fedorovna. And that a pre-marital name should be used. But I feel that it is acceptable to make a formulation "Natalia Alexeievna of Darmstadt" (the "of Darmstadt" being for disambiguation purposes) instead of using "Wilhelmina of Darmstadt". Now, as there are plenty of Germanist and anglicist opinions, I would like to know some of international opinion. In other words, I am asking you to think whether from the perspective of non-Russian Slavonic, (1) would it be acceptable to say "Natalia Alexeievna of Darmstadt" and (2) would that be better or worse than "Wilhelmina of Darmstadt". As far as I can tell, both you and Emir Arven were practically given a time-out. I skimmed the diffs and I can see that he was insisting on Montenegrin, Nikola was insisting on Serbian, and you were finding a middle ground but at one point removed the controversy section.

Every time the editing gets hot, take a step back and consider whether it's better to vent your frustration on the Talk page and let things cool down, or whether you should revert instantly and risk violating the three-revert rule.

Hi, I see you're in the category for those Wikipedians from Serbia & Montenegro. I'm trying to create a project whereby seperate articles for just Serbia OR Montenegro are written to an acceptable level, especially considering the possibility that 2006 may see the two nations seperate and become independent states. If that were to occur Wikipedia should have articles written to the standard of other national articles. It would be useful to have the input of Wikipedians living in the area. == A short Esperanzial update ==

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on [[WT:ESP|the ''Esperanza'' talk page]] as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace [[User:JoanneB|JoanneB]] and [[User:Pschemp|Pschemp]] and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on [[2006-07-02]] and last until [[2006-07-09]]. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before [[2006-07-02]].
