Image:Virgin Killer.jpg: I stand by my rationale
Line 16: Line 16:

The closing admin's reason was that the image failed NFCC #8. Since all album covers are basically claimed under fair use already, there should be no reason to exclude this one from that rationale. There's even more reason to keep this under fair use due to the controversy it has stirred up in history. The article, Virgin Killer, is full-protected currently, but there is an abundance of material on the talk page that will be used to expand the controversy content, once it's unprotected. The ending tally was roughly 43 to 12, by my count, in favor of Keep. I feel the closing admin neglected to weigh the arguments given, and did not judge consensus, but rather made a decision based on his or her own opinion of the issue. <small style="font:bold 10px Arial;display:inline;border:#009 1px dashed;padding:1px 6px 2px 7px;white-space:nowrap"><font color="#000">Equazcion</font> •✗/C • 21:40, 9 May 2008 (UTC)</small>

* I stand by my reasoning in the original close. NFCC says what it says. There's no "album covers excepted" appears when I hover the mouse over the various sections. If enforcing the EDP means we delete a lot of eye-candy, that's what we have to do. The second step will be easier than the first one, and the third easier still. • I stand by my reasoning in the original close. NFCC says what it says. There's no "album covers excepted" appears when I hover the mouse over the various sections. This article was apparently speedy deleted in March 2007. I don't know what was on it previously, but I was wondering if it could be restored. If it can be shaped into a reasonable article, I would like to do so, otherwise I could just merge the text that's there and redirect into List of Greyhawk deities or somewhere else appropriate. I did not contact the deleting admin, because they seem to be no longer an active editor? BOZ (talk) 18:26, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge to that list looks plausible. The deletion was for lack of meaningful content, so unless you have sources for expansion, that is all that really can happen. For comparison, the full content of this approximates the intro paragraph and references sections of Semuanya or Skerrit. GRBerry 19:16, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That might be good enough for a start, and I could probably add to it. BOZ (talk) 19:22, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
