Alexander Michael Paul Smith is the leading Senior Prefect at St Joseph's Roman Catholic High School and Sports College. He took office in June 2008, three days after winning the ICT Senior Prefect Elections. Prior to this he served as the Head ICT Prefect from 2006 to 2007. He also holds several positions including: - Deputy Head ICT Prefect, Supreme Chancellor and High Inquisitor.

Early life
Alex Smith was born in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England.
Interest in Politics
At St Joseph's where Alex Smith is educated, he is commonly known for his interest in Politics. He is a established Labour supporter and is involved in the organising of Labour campaigns throughout Greater Manchester.
Rise to Power
Due to Alex's like for ICT he first applied to be a ICT Prefect in 2006, he was immediately accepted and became the new Head IT Prefect, replacing Mark Porter. Over the next few months he recruited more prefects in an attempt to boost the his popularity, overall he was successful in this. After two years as Head IT Prefect Alex's popularity began to decline and he resigned as Head IT Prefect in September 2007. He made it clear he was not giving up on the ICT room and nominated his successor Richard Hiden. Alex himself adopted the position of Assistant Head ICT Prefect.
Assistant and Deputy
Over the coming months Richard's popularity decreased and Alex was promoted to Deputy Head ICT Prefect, as well as being given Supreme Chancellor and High Inquisitor. With these new titles he obtained more of Richard's power. Richard hit more troubles and for a short period of time Alex became acting Head ICT Prefect on a number of occasions.
With Richard's rule been seriously questioned by backbenchers the Senior Prefect elections came up, although Richard announced he would stand it was completely over shadowed by the fact Alex would stand. Alex and several other important Prefects used the election as a vote of no confidence. In the end Richard managed to get just a 25% majority with Alex taking home a 75% majority. Alex became Senior Prefect, which overruled any orders by the Head ICT Prefect. Alex became making changes to the way The ICT Rooms where ran but received heavy critism for not sacking Richard.
