::(Butting in only because I still happened to have this page on my watchlist) I agree. In a case like this, where there's no guideline set up to specifically cover it, you should be bold. If the changes you make are accepted by most of the community (which would be shown by them not reverting you) it could eventually become part of the guideline. I'd certainly support you on it. == Michael Potts: AfD dialogue ==

Please revisit Michael Potts article (of which I am the principal author). Contrary to the assertion that Google News features only one link to "michael potts" +"rocky mountain institute," I have provided a link showing that in fact, there are eight links. For example, I have just added to the article, under External Links, a Denver Post interview with Michael Potts on March 31, 2007, in which he speaks about his personal and business philosophies. Thank you for your time. I do appreciate your help in strengthening this article.Jhutson64 (talk) 15:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

deprod of Song Baek Kyoung

I have removed the tag from Song Baek Kyoung, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add proposed deletion back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Rick ross (rapper)

On the Rick Ross (rapper) page you changed the links at the bottom back after i had edited them?. The so called official rick ross trilla website is not anything related to rick ross any more its been used for advertising for a while now.--Front2back (talk) 18:33, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct and I have fixed that link. JBsupreme (talk) 20:41, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

noble dru & phashara pages

please advise on the corrections that should be made to prevent the pages from being marked for deletion. Kirkout (talk) 16:40, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Once again I warn you for deleting content on Jeff Gordon without stating a reason why in the edit summary. The edit was very constructive and it was very disruptive of you to do this again. This time let the warning stay.(Planecrash111 (talk) 00:59, 28 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

No content was deleted except for the results table that Planecrash111 needlessly deleted himself. It looks like your edit was just fixing a format error that an anonymous editor caused. This is not the first time Planecrash111 has given out warnings to people for no reason, so don't take any notice. Bretonbanquet (talk) 01:27, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In addition to that, Planecrash111 is known to use sockpuppets for vandalism, and then correct the errors himself and hand out warnings. Then he claims his "brother did it". To be honest, I'm surprised he isn't blocked indefinitely at this stage. So yeah, all messages from this troll are taken with many, many grains of salt. Groundlings

Saw your wholesale slaughter of Groundlings alumni :-) Your explanation went over my uninformed head. "Obviated by cats"? Can you explain? For what it's worth, I thought the list of alumni was quite useful. Monkeyzpop (talk) 08:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the shorthand, cats meaning categories. By the way would you be able to help source this article? JBsupreme (talk) 08:17, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I figured that's what cats meant, but I don't know how it affects the situation here. How does the article having categories mean it shouldn't list alumni? As to sourcing the article, I could be some help but no help. By that I mean I know a fair amount about the group but only because I know people involved. That would be OR. I don't off-hand know of good published sources. Could dig some, I suppose. Thanks.Monkeyzpop (talk) 10:11, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to 100 Miles & Running, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. --AW (talk) 14:55, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like a response to this please try leaving a non generic template on my talk page. The mix tape is not notable, whereas the N.W.A. single clearly is, which is why it was redirected. I have placed a prod on the article since you've reverted my edit. JBsupreme (talk) 14:56, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD setups

Hi JBsupreme. Hope you don't mind, but I've gone ahead a fixed a couple of your AfD pages. When you set up an AfD, please be sure to follow all the steps at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion. Thanks! Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 04:09, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Paul Erik! I'll review the info. JBsupreme (talk) 06:11, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JB. I fixed two more of your AfD setups. [1] [2] Please be sure to follow all the steps; otherwise, your deletion discussions are not showing up in the appropriate categories. Thanks. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 18:23, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
When you have time can you please review Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yung Ro I think I see what was missing now. JBsupreme (talk) 18:36, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That one looks good! Cheers, Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 18:41, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mind if I ask: What trouble are you having with the instructions at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion? I fixed another one for you. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 06:36, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just a combination of me being distracted and a force of habit that I'm trying to correct getting used to that template. Thanks though. JBsupreme (talk) 01:37, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

Edit summaries are strongly encouraged for all edits, but they are required when adding an AFD or PROD tag to an article. Edits such as this and this come off as a bit sneaky without an edit summary. Please use them as often as possible, but especially when nominating articles for deletion. Kafziel Complaint Department 17:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[citation needed] dude, seriously. JBsupreme (talk) 05:55, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Um, assuming that's your way of asking where it says that...
 • At WP:PROD, step 2 of how to nominate an article: "Use an informative edit summary clearly indicating that the article has been nominated for deletion."
 • at WP:AFD, step 1 of how to list an article for deletion: "Please include in the edit summary the phrase AfD: Nominated for deletion; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NominationName."
 • And there's always this, too.
I hope that clears it up, if it was unclear to begin with. If I misunderstood what you meant with the above, feel free to elaborate. Kafziel Complaint Department 06:17, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'd be grateful if you could look at this again in light of the references added. Thanks BoogieRock (talk) 20:40, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Misuse of associated acts

It's difficult to solve this problem. The associated acts section is largely based on opinion. Some people believe that when two musicians perform together, not even a single, but simply on an album (Ex: Musician #1 featuring Musician #2), merits those two to be associated acts, while other believe it's many recurring collaborations that merit an as associated act. As you can see, it's hard to say what's what. DiverseMentality(Discuss it) 05:50, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe I read in the music article guidelines something about this... IMHO if they're not a frequently recurring act it is a bit far fetched to claim they are associated, or at least associated enough to warrant space within a Wiki infobox at least.
