Daizee Haze (born May 11 1983) is an American professional wrestler.

Career

Early career

Daizee Haze was trained by the wrestler Delirious, and much like Delirious, she wears very colorful and unique ring attire at times. She has also been known to use some of Delirious' trademarks, such as BAM (leaping running lariat), as well as mumbling incoherent things during her wrestling matches. Haze debuted on March 29, 2002, using a hippie stoner gimmick. She initially worked for the Gateway Championship Wrestling federation based in Missouri, where she got her training, until moving on to IWA Mid-South as the valet of Matt Sydal, then began competing in the women's division.

Ring of Honor

Haze initially debuted in Ring of Honor (ROH) along the side of Matt Sydal, and had a brief women's wrestling feud with Allison Danger during Danger's solo days away from the Prophecy. When her managed wrestler Matt Sydal joined Generation Next, Daizee Haze became the valet of the stable. On November 5th 2005 at ROH's Vendetta show, the main event was an 8 man war, featuring The Embassy, represented by Alex Shelley, Jimmy Rave, Abyss and Prince Nana himself, taking on AJ Styles (who substituted Roderick Strong due to his World Title match the same night), and Generation Next, represented by Austin Aries, Jack Evans and Matt Sydal. They were accompanied by Daizee Haze and Jade Chung, the (kayfabe) girlfriend of Roderick Strong and a former valet of the Embassy, who had been mistreated and borderline physically abused at ringside by Prince Nana before leaving the Embassy on October 1st 2005 at ROH's Joe vs. Kobashi show. This just added more shock value to the ending of the main event of Vendetta, which saw Prince Nana pull Daizee Haze in the ring by the hair, only for her to be immediately saved by Aries and Sydal. Daizee, however, delivered a low blow to both Aries and Sydal, and with the help of Nana she gave Jade Chung a Mind Trip, turned heel and joined The Embassy who won the match. She remained with the stable until it was disbanded in September 2006 after which she turned face and aligned herself with BJ Whitmer and Colt Cabana in their war with Lacey, Jimmy Jacobs and Brent Albright. She feuded with Lacey throughout the year 2007 and in to 2008.

The April 30, 2008, edition of Ring of Honor's business notes confirmed that Haze's appearance at TNA's TV taping does not affect her status with ROH.[1]

SHIMMER Women Athletes

Alongside working with ROH, Daizee is a mainstay in their sister promotion SHIMMER Women Athletes, an all female wrestling promotion based out of Chicago, and main evented their first four shows (which are released as "volumes"). The company taped its first two shows on November 6, 2005. In the main event of Volume 1, she defeated her arch nemesis Lacey in a 25 minute match following the Mind Trip. In the main event of Volume 2 she competed in a 4-way elimination match with Sara Del Rey, Mercedes Martinez and Lacey. Del Rey won the match after pinning Haze following the Royal Butterfly. The two of them had a rematch on the main event of Volume 3, where once again Del Rey came out victorious. Finally, in the main event of Volume 4 she managed to beat Rebecca Knox with whom she would feud over the next couple of shows.

On Volume 5, Haze had her first non-main event SHIMMER match, a 2 out of 3 falls match against Knox. She dominated the beginning of the match outwrestling Knox and picked up the first fall after which Knox resorted to cheating and finally won the match 2 falls to 1. On Volume 6 Haze defeated the WWE bound Nikita. Haze and Knox were set to end their feud in a 60-minute Ironwoman match on Volume 7 on October 22 2006, but the idea was scrapped after Knox suffered a career threatening injury while wrestling in Europe. Cheerleader Melissa replaced Knox and defeated Haze in the main event of Volume 7 after debuting the Kudo Driver in SHIMMER.

On Volumes 8 and 9 she defeated Tiana Ringer and Amber O'Neal respectively. On Volume 10 she faced the undefeated Amazing Kong and although she survived the sitout powerbomb, which had finished off many before her, she was ultimately pinned following the Amazing Press.

Volumes 11 and 12, taped June 1st and 2nd 2007, consisted of a tournament to crown the first ever SHIMMER Champion. In the first round Haze had no trouble getting past Portia Perez and in the quarter finals she defeated Malia Hosaka. In the semifinals of the tournament, however, she got pinned by Lacey, in a rematch from Volume 1's main event.

On Volume 13 Sarah Stock pinned Haze following the Tiger Driver, but on Volume 14 she got back to her winning ways by defeating her long time running buddy MsChif in what was advertised as their "first time SHIMMER meeting". Haze and Stock had their second encounter on Volume 15 in a #1 contender's match, where once again Stock came out on top. In the last Volume of 2007, Volume 16, taped on October 15, Haze teamed up with MsChif and Eden Black to face the International Home Wrecking Crew of Lacey, Rain and Jetta. Haze pinned Jetta to win the match for her team. This victory was followed up by two more victories on April 26 2008 when on Volume 17 she defeated Cindy Rogers and on Volume 18 she once again pinned Jetta.

Independent circuit

Haze makes regular appearances on the independent circuit. On February 12, 2005 she won the IWA Mid-South Women's Championship by defeating Ariel, MsChif, Cheerleader Melissa, Sara Del Rey and Mickie Knuckles in a 6-way elimination match.[2] On May 7 she lost the title to MsChif.

During 2006 she had a big winning streak in CHIKARA singles competition holding victories over Allison Danger (twice), Sara Del Rey, Alere Little Feather, Mickie Knuckles and Portia Perez. On September 1 and 2, 2006 Daizee defeated Cheerleader Melissa, Allison Danger and KAORU to win the APW ChickFight 6 Tournament.

On May 2, 2008 she won the IWA Mid-South Women's Championship for the second time in Joliet, Illinois by defeating the then-champion Mickie Knuckles and Sara Del Rey in a 3-way match.[2]

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

In 2003 Haze made several appearances as a wrestler and valet to Matt Sydal in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. These include losses to Nurse Veronica (which also saw Veronica diaper Haze after the match) and Trinity, and a win over MsChif[3].

On the May 1, 2008, edition of TNA iMPACT! Haze made her return to TNA wrestling as Daisy Haze in a match where she was defeated by Cheerleader Melissa following the Kudo Driver. Haze was also interviewed by Jeremy Borash on the May 1, 2008 edition of TNA Today[4]
