Lovefoxxx (stage name of Luísa Hanaê Matsushita, born on February 25, 1984 in Campinas, Brazil) is the Brazilian lead singer of indie-electro band Cansei de Ser Sexy.

Biography

Lovefoxxx is of Japanese and German descent. Since the age of 16, she has been an illustrator and fashion design assistant. However, in recent years she has abandoned this profession to better dedicate herself to her music career.

Music

She is known for stage diving many times during CSS' concerts and intense live performances, as well as for her colourful clothes and vintage fashion. There was once a rumor that at the last show of one of CSS' tours, she went on stage wearing her entire wardrobe. As each song on the set list was played, she removed one piece until at the end of the night she was naked, then dived into the crowd. On the 18th of January in an interview with Jaymz Clements, a writer for Melbourne's largest cab audited street magazine - 'Beat', Lovefoxxx herself confirmed that this is only a rumor and that she would never get naked on stage although she does like to perform barefooted.^[1]

In 2006, Lovefoxxx was voted #10 in NME's annual Cool List.^[2] In 2007, she was voted #3 ^[3], only to be beaten by her fiancée's bandmate Jamie Reynolds and winner Frank Carter of Gallows.

The rumours of a solo album (that was reportedly to be called "luv 2 luv u foxxxy") and a book have been confirmed as false by bandmate Luiza Sá in an interview with Skinny Magazine.^[4]

Personal life

On 21 September, it was revealed that Lovefoxxx and guitarist Simon Taylor-Davis from Klaxons were engaged to be married.^[5] In April 2007, while Klaxons were on a North American tour, Simon got the name "Lovefoxxx" tattooed on his left hip. Later (in June 2007), during the Cansei de Ser Sexy tour of North America, Lovefoxxx had Simon's name tattooed on her right hip ^[6].

In May 2008, Lovefoxxx stamped the cover from RG Vogue magazine.
