:: Yes, he was. With French singer/musician Véronique Samson. They have at least one kid, who is around 30 years old. That boy is increasingly becoming famous in France for his roles in several popular musicals. He sings and dances, and plays the guitar. But I don't know much more. I know that the Stills/Samson relationship was explosive, though. They took a lot of drugs, drank much alcohol, and Stills would often beat her up. Fearing for her life, she eventually took her kid away and fled back to France. She has been battling with drugs and alcohol since these days. Her career has been on a roller coaster for the past 25-30 years. A couple of years ago, she wrote a book about her marriage with Stills. I haven't read it. I just remember the TV interviews she gave when the book came out.

Relationships?

Jimi Hendrix

the story about Stills' manager not passing the offer to join Hendrix's new band doesn't make sense because CSN didn't get together until 1968 (i'm pretty sure) but the Experence formed in 1966 The Fletch 22:53, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it to Buffalo Springfield (and removed one of the four uses of the word "Stills" in that sentence, which was a bit cluttered). Is this story true, though? It's certainly plausible, but I've never heard it before. A source, perhaps? MrBronson 22:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are tapes of Jimi Hendrix and Stills' "jamming" togeather. In fact i'm listening too it now, They're called "The Basement Tapes" and it's soposed to be a session involving Stills' and Hendrix on guitar. I'm not sure who is playing drums/bass on it. Playing For The End 16:53, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"However, Young would leave midway through the resulting tour due to an apparent throat infection."

more like:

"..before Young decided he'd had enough of Stills and packed it in. While driving their buses to the next gig, Young, fed up with Stills' drunken babbling over the CB radios, instructed his driver to head for Nashville instead of New Orleans, the next stop on the tour. Young then had an assistant send Stills and the rest of the band telegrams, which read, "Funny how things that start spontaneously end that way... Eat a peach, Neil." --85.167.145.26 13:58, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Miscelleny

Stephen has stated in several interviews I read in the 90s (sorry didn't save them) that he never auditioned to be an actor on The Monkees show. He applied to be one of the song writers for the show but wasn't accepted. He did recommend Peter Torkelson, that part is true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Endy9 (talkcontribs) 03:18, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
