Aside from rugby, Darragh has a keen interest in [[Lance Armstrong]], spot welding and stamp collecting. In January 2008, he began learning the Saxophone. When he has time off from his hectic rugby lifestyle, he returns to his native Kinsale. Other major influences in Darragh's life include [[The Chuckle Brothers]] and [[Johnny Logan]].
