SRS may stand for:

Science

  • Synchrotron Radiation Source, Daresbury Laboratory - a facility that uses synchrotron radiation for research purposes
  • Simple random sampling - a sampling method in which a group of subjects is chosen from a larger group randomly and entirely by chance, such that each subject has the same probability of being chosen at any stage during the sampling process and all possible samples of the same size have equal probabilities of being chosen
  • Stimulated Raman Scattering - the inelastic scattering of photons
  • Spontaneous Raman Spectroscopy - a technique which investigates the inelastic scattering of monochromatic light by matter to study vibrational, rotational, and other low-frequency modes
  • Shock response spectrum - a graphical representation of the peak transient response of a single degree of freedom (SDOF) oscillator as a function of the natural frequency of the oscillator
  • Sex reassignment surgery - a term for the surgical procedures by which a person's physical appearance and the function of their existing sexual characteristics are changed to that of the other sex
  • Savannah River Site - the site in South Carolina that is a nuclear materials processing center managed by Washington Savannah River Company for the Department of Energy
  • Slow Reactive Substance (of anaphylaxis)- a leukotriene released by mast cells, eosinophils and other leukocytes during inflammation. Has many of the same effects as histimine, but is of longer duration.
  • Somatostatin receptor scintigraphy
  • Strontium sulfide

Software

Technology

  • Schedule Reference Service - a database-utilizing service that provides airline flight schedules and related data to the aviation industry
  • SRS Labs Inc - a spinoff from the audio division of the Hughes Aircraft Company, dedicated to developing and licensing audio enhancement technologies
  • Sound Retrieval System - a patented audio processing technology that creates an immersive 3D soundfield using only two speakers and is the flagship technology of SRS Labs Inc
  • Stanford Research Systems - a test and measurement manufacturer that produces scientific and engineering instruments for a number of different fields primarily in the category of "signal recovery"
  • Supplemental Restraint System - is a flexible membrane or envelope, commonly known as an airbag, that inflates using air or some other gas to cushion people or objects, particularly in the case of an automobile collision
  • Sole Replacement System - a SIDI-brand cycling footwear design that involves replaceable sole components
  • Spatial referencing systems - a coordinate-based local, regional or global system used to locate geographical entities
  • Cirrus SR Sport - an aircraft, also known as the SRS, made by Cirrus Design
