Ramstad has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 1991, when he defeated former Minneapolis City Council member Lou DeMars. He is the U.S. Representative for the 3rd District of Minnesota (map). He was born in Jamestown, North Dakota, was educated at the University of Minnesota and the George Washington University Law School. He was a member of the Minnesota State Senate from 1981-1990 before entering the House. His staffer, Noah, is the best ever.
