About Me

I was born in Southampton, and I am currently studying archaeology at the University of Bristol. When not there, I live in the Hampshire village of Swanmore.

Interests

As well as archaeology, I am keen on anything mechanical or transport related, including aircraft, boats/ships, tractors, locomotives (both steam and diesel) and cars (especially Land Rovers).

In terms of archaeology, I am especially interested in the Industrial Revolution and its associated technology, which is where my interest in railways came from. I tend to 'read up' most on the pre-grouping era railways in the UK, especially the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Although I wouldn't class myself as knowledgable in either, I am interested in civil engineering and architecture as well.

I am generally interested in the study of the Victorian era and World War One as well.

Main Work
