The PC-12 crashed in Holy Cross Cemetary 500 feet from the airport, not the runway. This cemetery is not located on the approaches to either runway. The closest airport facilities to Holy Cross Cemetery is a taxiway and the terminal and the south corner of the terminal building is about 500 feet from the north fence of the cemetery. I have changed this to "...500 feet from the airport." This morning an AP article said "...Not far from the airport..."[http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090323/ap_on_re_us/plane_crash_montana_17] and Reuters said "...on final approach..."[http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20090323/ts_nm/us_usa_crash_montana_3] However, I believe the plane was on the downwind leg and not final. Also the final death toll was 14 as listed in the above references. I also used the name of the cemetery. I would have to assume these "breaking news" points often change quite frequently as things develop.

March 22, 2009 Air Crash Article Error

The PC-12 crashed in Holy Cross Cemetary 500 feet from the airport, not the runway. This cemetery is not located on the approaches to either runway. The closest airport facilities to Holy Cross Cemetery is a taxiway and the terminal and the south corner of the terminal building is about 500 feet from the north fence of the cemetery. I have changed this to "...500 feet from the airport." This morning an AP article said "...Not far from the airport..."[1] and Reuters said "...on final approach..."[2] However, I believe the plane was on the downwind leg and not final. Also the final death toll was 14 as listed in the above references. I also used the name of the cemetery. I would have to assume these "breaking news" points often change quite frequently as things develop. Traumatic (talk) 14:09, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
