aux.tv is a Canadian music website. Owned and operated by Glassbox Television, the website is built on an Internet television model, offering music video and programs profiling new and emerging artists in alternative, hip hop, indie rock, indie pop and other genres.

The site was launched on November 24, 2008. In addition to its website, aux.tv currently airs content on BiteTV, a Glassbox-owned digital cable channel, and on Joost, the internet television service.[1] The company applied to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for a category 2 digital cable specialty channel licence, in hopes to launch aux.tv as a separate standalone channel.[2] The licence was approved on March 6, 2009. Programming

Programs on aux.tv include ExploreMusic with Alan Cross, Master Tracks, Cypher, Band Foto, Strange Notes (hosted by George Pettit of Alexisonfire), Volume, Camera Music, alt.sessions, Closer#REDIRECT [[1]], and KayvonTV.

Collaborations

In February 2009, aux.tv participated with CBC Radio 3 and Exclaim! to launch X3, a new collaborative cross-promotional platform which sees all three outlets air feature content spotlighting a particular "Artist of the Month". The first X3 artist of the month was K'naan, and the second was Malajube.[4]
