Cosmo & JC

Cosmo & JC host the morning show on Y107 from 5:30 - 9am, then host 107 minutes of commercial free music starting at 9am. The duo has been known for their frequent pranks and stunts, including Punishment Poker. They came to Y107 from Mid-Missouri Broadcasting's KOQL (Q106.1), which is now owned by Cumulus. Since joining Y107, ratings for the station have increased dramatically. According to on air promos, Cosmo & JC are number 1 in the morning.

FCC Violation

On March 21, 2003 from 8:10 - 8:15am when Cosmo & JC were on KOQL they aired a prank phone call made between the radio station and Life Crisis Services, a gambling addiction hotline. In the complaint it stated that the radio station personality pretended to have a legitimate gambling problem. Once the representative from Life Crisis realized it was a prank phone call, they hung up.

The station did not inform the hotline the call was for broadcast, which is a violation of Federal Communication Commission (FCC) law Section 73.1206. On April 4, 2003, Mid-Missouri Broadcasting made an official on-air apology to Life Crisis and provided a link on its website for its services, but even so, on November 23, 2004 the FCC fined Mid-Missouri Broadcasting $4000.

Retro Lunch

Every afternoon at noon local time, Bex plays requested songs from the late 70s through early 90s. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Bex plays Retro Trivia and gives away 4 tickets to see the featured comedian at DeJa Vu.

Hot 5 @ 9

Every night at 9:00pm local time, Y107 plays the top 5 most requested songs. The countdown used to be called Mid-MO's Most Wanted and at one time featured 7 songs.
