AeroMobile was established as a joint venture between ARINC and Telenor in 2006. Headquartered in London with operations in Oslo, Dubai, Singapore and Seattle; AeroMobile is a global independent cellular provider serving the aviation sector.

The first lanch customer for AeroMobile was agreed in 2006 with Emirates Airline, [1]. The cerification was completed early 2008 and was in operational service in march 2008, [2].

In April 2009 a new record was set for AeroMobile, with 100,000 passengers having used the system during flight, [3].

The customer base was increased when Malaysia Airlines signed for an operation trial providing GSM and GPRS (email) services, [4]

AeroMobile also has commitments from Qantas, V Australia and Saudi Arabian Airlines, AeroMobile is also teamed with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to offer a fully IFE integrated solution, in addition to their stand-alone solution.
