Lucas Till (born August 10, 1990) is an American actor. He began acting in the early 2000s, and has since appeared in a number of films and television parts, including his roles on House and Hannah Montana: The Movie.[1]

Biography

Early life

Although Till was born in Fort Hood, Texas, he spent most of his childhood living in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. After filming for The Hannah Montana Movie, Till went back home to graduate with the Kell High School class of 2008.[1]

Career

Early in his life, Till’s parents became aware of his natural ability to imitate voices and characters. Joy Pervis discovered Till while he was attending local acting class that his mother had enrolled him in. When he was 10, he started doing commercials and print. At the age of 12 he was cast in The Adventures of Ociee Nash, in which he played Harry Vanderbilt, the bully of the main character.[1] His first major movie role was Jack Cash in the biographical movie, Walk the Line. While filming for Walk the Line he worked with actor Joaquin Phoenix, actress Reese Witherspoon and director James Mangold. After Walk the Line, Till was featured in a number of independent movies and films for Lifetime Television.[1] In 2008, Till auditioned for The Hannah Montana Movie, starring Miley Cyrus, and he landed the role of Travis Brody.[1] Till was reported saying the he does not have any current plans for another Disney movie.[2] He worked alongside action film actor, Jackie Chan, for his latest movie, The Spy Next Door, where Till plays the role of a Russian spy.[1][3] He also starred in Taylor Swift's music video "You Belong with Me". He was also in an episode of HOUSE.

Personal life

When Till is not working, he enjoys working out and playing video games. He is a fan of The Godfather, 300, The Dark Knight, and Twilight. Till stands at 5'9½". [4] Before filming the Hannah Montana: The Movie, Till said that he had no previous experience at horseback riding, now he takes every opportunity he has to ride. His favorite food is beef jerky.[3] Till now lives in Universal City, California, where he is continuing his career.[1] After moving to Universal City he has appeared in the hit television shows House and Medium.[1]
