Balázs Dzsudzsák (Hungarian pronunciation: ['bɒlaːʒ 'ʤuʤaːk]) is a Hungarian footballer, playing as a left-winger. He currently plays for PSV Eindhoven.
Early life
He was born in Nyírlugos in Hungary, and he was known among the villagers, as kid who spends most of his time at the local football ground. His talents were quite early discovered, and was signed by Olasz Focisuli which was a football club for young talents and was a sure way towards Debreceni VSC. When he was 17 years old he played for Létavértes on loan from DVSC in NB3 (the local third division). Dzsudzsák made his debut for Debreceni VSC on 2005.
Club career
Debreceni VSC
In 2007, Dzsudzsák was one of the most promising Hungarian football players in the Borsodi Liga. He was scouted by AFC Ajax during the year. It has since been revealed that an unnamed English Championship team had put in an offer for Dzsudzsák. On August 30 2007 it was revealed that 3 English clubs and two Italian sides had offers accepted for the 20-year-old.[citation needed]
PSV Eindhoven
In August 2007, the highly-rated youngster was set to move before the end of the month's transfer window as his club Debrecen accepted several offers for the left winger. Dzsudzsak would speak to English clubs Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth Argyle and Reading F.C. as well as Italian clubs Sampdoria and Chievo Verona.[citation needed]
The Hungarian international signed a five-year long contract for PSV Eindhoven on October 24, 2007.[1] The left winger was originally to make his transfer to PSV in the summer of 2008, although the departure of Kenneth Perez from the PSV squad prompted PSV to speed up his transfer to January 2008. PSV scout Piet de Visser stated that Dzsudzsák "is an incredible talent. He is fast, good in the combination, can pass his man and give a good cross. You don't see them like this very often anymore. He is a modern left-winger".
He made his Eredivisie debut on 12 January 2008.[2] That match ended in a 1–0 win with Feyenoord. Dzsudzsák starting eleven in this match and his some good shot on goal. The next round he also scored his first league goal. That match ended in a 1–1 draw with VVV Venlo. Dzsudzsi his first assist on 23 January 2008. The match ended in a 3-1 win with Sparta Rotterdam.
