Kris Williams (born February 20,1981) appears on the SyFy channel's Ghost Hunters.

Kris Williams was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on Feb 20, 1981.[1] She grew up in New Hampshire and was the oldest of 3.[2] Her studies revolved around art at Alvirne High School until she took an internship at a local radio station where she worked the sound boards and did some on-air work.

Williams attended Rivier College for two years, studying Communications.[3] During this time she met Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson through a mutual friend and she became interested in The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), the paranormal group founded by Hawes and Wilson. Williams wanted to get involved but couldn't due to the fact she was in school full time and working full time.[4]. After two years she decided communications wasn't for her and decided to take some time off from school.

This is when she started working for a the Click modeling agency in Boston, Massachusetts.[5] She worked with Click for several years doing print work, hair shows and some runway work. By this time Hawes and Wilson were working on Ghost Hunters and Williams was home getting extra work in local movies & TV shows, such as Waterfront, Brotherhood, 21, Mystic River and Fever Pitch.[6] She had just started getting auditions for soap operas and speaking roles when Hawes and Wilson needed some help due to people leaving the show.

She has had a love of genealogy since she was 11 years old, she believed in the paranormal but was still a skeptic first and they had known her for quite a few years by this point so they asked her if she'd join the team. They also loved the fact that over the years Williams had taken several "male" jobs and figured she would be able to stand her ground and keep up with the rest of the guys. They also felt her research experience would come in handy for researching the locations they investigate.

Williams has now been with TAPS and Ghost Hunters for 2 1/2 years as an investigator and historical researcher. She has also gotten a chance to help out the Ghost Hunters International team on the Charleville Castle case in Tullamore, Ireland. Over her two years with the show she has picked up the nickname "Bait" for being willing to go into areas alone and for being a female that doesn't scare easily.

Before Ghost Hunters, Williams worked as a flooring installer/carpenter for 3 years and in electronics for 3 years (soldering and assembly).[1] She is very close to her parents Bob and Diane Williams and even helped her father with his gun shop for several years with online sales.
