Setanta Sports Australia is a sports television channel operating in Australia and is available to homes and businesses across all of Australia. Setanta Sports Australia is part of the Setanta Sports Group of television channels that operate around the world in Ireland, United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Africa.

Setanta Sports Australia offers a wide range of international sport including football, rugby union, boxing, GAA and cricket. Current Setanta Sports Australia broadcast content includes the FA Cup, England national football team, World Cup 2010 Qualifiers, Scottish Premier League, Six Nations Championship and England national rugby union team.

History

On November 1 2007, the Australian version of Setanta Sports was launched on into homes Australia wide. The channel had initially been made available to pubs and clubs, in November 2005.

Availability

Currently the Setanta Sports Australia channel is available on all the major pay-TV home platforms in Australia; Foxtel, Austar, UBI World TV, TransACT and also to direct satellite customers direct satellite (Optus D2). Setanta Sports Australia is available to homes via broadband and available commercially to clubs, pubs and businesses via direct satellite (Optus D2) or Austar.
