I revert alot of vandelism and would like to try huggle wich requires rollback permission StavlorTalk Contribs 21:52, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Not many recent edits but your reversions in the past were accurate. -- Mentifisto 21:57, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Core2012

I have been editing here on wikipedia for so long now. I have never heard of Rollback or Huggle, but I would like permission to be able to try both features out. I am a type of person that always loves trying the newest and latest features out first, and sometimes there are times when I am not the first. I like trying exciting features out on different sites that I have never tried before. Please give me this permission.

User:Nezzadar

I have been doing RCP for a while and really dislike how cumbersome undo is for multiple bad edits. I find too often vandals make 10 small changes hoping to get one through, rather than one big one that will be reverted on sight. Nezzadar [SPEAK] 05:45, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rrmsjp

I am a rollbacker in the Spanish Wikipedia (You can verify it here, and I think I can use this flag here to help English wikipedia too. If there are too many vandalism in the Spanish Wikipedia, I think I can find more here. Rrmsjp (Need something?) 02:16, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Sorry my friend, I need to see at least some evidence here at en.wiki that you're interested in vandal fighting and warning vandals. I won't require the same minimum requirements as normal, since you have the tool elsewhere, but <30 edits on this project doesn't really display much interest. When you think you meet expectations, feel free to come back here or to my talk page. Thanks. upstateNYer 02:59, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:K10wnsta

Although it's unlikely I'd ever actually use it, it seems the permission is required for Huggle to function. K10wnsta (talk) 23:09, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you won't use it why do you request it? Huggle requires rollback, yes, but with no prior reversion of vandalism how are we able to know whether you know what consists of vandalism and what doesn't? Please use some manual alternatives for now (if not undo) - WP:TW or any of these tools and return in a week or so. -- Mentifisto 23:29, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Acc3ss

I'm strongly against vandalism on Wikipedia, and would like to request rollback rights so that I can use the Huggle application. Nick Klose (tc) 17:04, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. I appreciate your contributions thusfar, however I only see one recent revert of vandalism. I'd like to see much more extensive vandal fighting before granting rollback. Valley2city 19:13, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's fair. I'll re-apply once I have more counter-vandalism activity on my record. Nick Klose (tc) 20:07, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To remove vandalism in Computer Security articles. Also, I would like to try Huggle at some point. HamburgerRadio (talk) 18:27, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Make sure to only use it for obvious vandalism; I only say this because you tend to work with removing other issues such as unsourced info, promotion, etc, instead of vandalism-only work. Best, JamieS93 18:31, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Declan Clam

I've been doing a bit of recent change patrolling with Twinkle, would like to see if I could be more efficient with rollback. Reckon I've got a pretty good handle on when something is vandalism, when it's just unhelpful and when to play safe. Declan Clam (talk) 06:04, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Thanks for helping. As an aside, I must say I agree that your custom tag for the article ABRAHAM LINCOLN is hilarious. Though it technically wasn't a G6 (no pun intended; G6=technical deletions) it still made me laugh out loud. "He probably already has a page". Awesome. Valley2city 07:07, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sweet, thanks. Declan Clam (talk) 07:21, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:The Arbiter

Although I do add and contribute to articles, I mostly find myself browsing through the recent changes list and other places to revert vandalism. I place pages on my watchlist to monitor them for changes. Sometimes, it is very annoying when an IP address makes a ton of edits that are almost impossible to undo using the "undo" function. Therefore, rollback would be an invaluable tool in my contributions to Wikipedia. The Arbiter 01:21, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done You have few reverts, but all of them were very good. Keep it up. Acalamari 02:13, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Frmatt

I am requesting that Frmatt be blocked from using the Rollback feature. Recently, Frmatt identified edits to UTC-3 and UTC-2 as being vandalism when in fact I was correcting inaccurate information on both of those pages. After two warnings and reverts from him for vandalism (as shown on my talk page), he finally realized that my edits were not vandalism, and his reverts actually put back the old, inaccurate information. I understand that vandalism is an issue on Wikipedia, but since I began using and editing over five years ago (which you can't see from my talk page since my ISP changes my IP address every so often), I am finding that Wikipedia has increasingly strayed from its welcoming environment based on good faith to one that has become downright hostile to anonymous users, vandals and non-vandals alike. I realize that Frmatt is not alone in automatically dismissing anonymous edits without a summary as vandalism without actually taking a look at the edit; however, this attitude is turning many good faith anonymous editors away because they simply do not want to enter into secondary discussions with editors who automatically think every anonymous edit is vandalism without reading the edit. In the case of these two articles, a simple, 10-second Google search would have corroborated my edits. Each editor has his or her reason why he or she wishes to edit through an account or anonymously; there was never a requirement that edits come from registered accounts. We need to make a more welcoming environment for ALL good faith editors, and therefore, I feel that "too quick to the gun" editors that do not assume good faith should unfortunately have privileges such as Rollback suspended whenever they can be identified. 68.199.153.220 (talk) 18:35, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Although Frmatt is a rollbacker, he was actually using Twinkle with those reverts, so it's not an actual abuse of the tool. JamieS93 18:37, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Hi, please try discussing with the user first, and please add a summary when removing content. That way we can better identify good edits. :-) Thanks. PeterSymonds (talk) 18:39, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Peter, I did talk the user and leave him a message regarding my request. The point is that Frmatt did not show that same courtesy you are asking of me (and which I did) in terms of communicating with him. Before placing a note on my talk page asking about any doubts, Frmatt simply dismissed the edits as vandalism and reverted them. Leaving an Edit Summary is advisable and helpful but not required, and certainly, the lack of one does not imply vandalism. I believe Frmatt needs to be more thoughtful prior to dismissing edits as vandalism.68.199.153.220 (talk) 18:56, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Everyday I am facing dozens of cases of page blanking by anonymous IPs. Vandalism is easier to deal with, but page blanking by anyonymous users with dynamic IPs are wasting huge amount of my time. Axxn (talk) 14:05, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Eugeniu B

I have dealt with vandalism often in the past and find it very annoying when there are multiple edits by the same user after a vandalism edit, which causes me to have to construct my own edit summary when I'm replacing the article contents with the last non-vandalism edit. I've used the rollback feature in the past as an administrator on a non-Wikipedia wiki and have a good experience with its usefulness. - Eugeniu Bmsg 18:38, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Eugeniu B, I'm having a hard time finding any more than a handful of reversions in your edit history nor AIV reports. Could you provide anything that shows your experience with fighting vandalism or your use of rollback on this non-wikipedia wiki. I would like to have a little more information before granting rollback. Thanks, Valley2city 20:12, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted vandalism in the past, but it's always those two-or-more edits that bother me. I always have to construct my own edit summary to look like normal undos, like "Undid revision ### by A user (talk) to last revision by Such and such...", which seems like a waste of time to me, and prevents me from being able to undo vandalism (or any other edits that should be reversed) very quickly. As for using rollback on another wiki, I only included that statement to demonstrate that I have used rollback before and already know exactly how to use it properly. Eugeniu Bmsg 22:09, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done I checked that your undos are quite low (only a dozen over the past 1000 edits dating back to March of this year) but your other edits including warnings to vandals pages are of good quality so I have gone ahead and granted rollback. Thank you for your patience and use it well. Valley2city 04:27, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:JL 09

(I want to have rights to remove vandalism immediately without hassle!)

My rollback right was removed by an admin some few weeks ago because of an editing conflict. I agreed to Spartaz's notification to remove my rollback rights and he is willing to restore it if any case will happen. I am fighting with vandalism, but it is always turning out that the vandalism done by a user, or an anonymous IP is filled the history page of an article that made restoration to "good revision" is no longer possible. With rollbacking, it can be done. Thanks. - JL 09 q?c 13:31, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comment Spartaz recommended a couple of months but it has been only a couple of weeks. Whilst you have made good (although litmited)use of manual reversion and WP:UNDO this looks a bit premature to me. Your could approach Spartaz directly and ask him to consider.
