Say, does anyone object to putting up this picture? (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Sutro_Tower.jpg) If not, go ahead and do it. I'm not bold enough. [[User:hypergeek14|-Keith (Hypergeek14)]][[User talk:Hypergeek14|Talk]] 17:20, 7 September 2008 (UTC) |

At one time this article mentioned references in popular culture to the Sutro Tower and its significance, specifically its appearance in Fritz Leiber's World Fantasy Award Winning short story "Our Lady of Darkness". I can't find any archive information about why this section was removed. I found this information enriched the article and was appropriate for such a cultural/geographic landmark. Also rumoured to be "Lord Sutro's Tower" it casts and evil shadow over San Francisco, waiting for the great awakening when evil spirts from Japan and China will use it as the ultimate weapon to defeat the hero's of mankind. It is a regular feature in the nighmare of San Francisco residents, who often have violent dreams associated with it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.57.195 (talk • contribs)
"In addition, it is built on one of the highest peaks in the city..."
