Flozell Tripnkick Adams[1] (born May 18, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American football offensive tackle for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He was drafted in the second round (38th overall) in the 1998 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan State.

Adams is a five-time Pro Bowl selection 20032004 and 20062008.

High school career

Adams attended Proviso West High School in Hillside, Illinois, from 1990–1994 and was a letterman in football, wrestling, and track and field. In football, he was an All-State selection as a senior, and in wrestling, he went to the state heavyweight wrestling finals as a junior.

College career

Adams attended Michigan State University. As a senior, he won All-America honors, was named the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year, and was a semi-finalist for the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award. As a sophomore, he was a second team All-Big Ten Conference selection.

Personal

Adams is the cousin of former NBA player Hersey Hawkins. His nickname is "The Hotel", in reference to his 6-7, 340-pound frame. He is partially deaf in his right ear (this also accounted for his draft stock falling in the days leading up to the 1998 NFL Draft). He currently resides in McKinney, Texas.
