I am also concerned about the impact that [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Moni3&oldid=338564692#Your_note Moni3 talk thread] might make on this incident. I am sure that Sandy was totally unaware of the current situation regarding Mattisse and Moni3 editing on that article, and that Sandy checked the contribution history with less care than she would normally have done otherwise she would have noticed Mattisse's contribution and realised that such a comment might become problematic. I hope that Mattisse will realise that Sandy was not making that comment deliberately to provoke her, and will remain calm. <span style="border: 1px #F10; background-color:cream;">'''[[User:SilkTork|<font face="Script MT" color="#1111AA" size="2">SilkTork</font>]]''' *[[User talk:SilkTork|YES!]]</span> 19:02, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to the Mattisse alerts page, where editors can report issues to Mattisse's mentors/advisors to help her follow her plan, in particular by drawing early attention to situations where Mattisse may be heading into conflict with other editors. For more information on Mattisse's plan, see:

To raise an issue, please follow this link to start a new section. A form will be preloaded into the edit window, with further advice on completing the process. This page is intended for alerts, although the associated talk page can be used for discussion with advisors/mentors and others. Please be concise and clear, both in reports here, and in discussion on the associated talk page. Advisors/mentors may sometimes reword or refactor discussion in the interests of clarity. Advice intended directly for Mattisse may be better placed on her user talk page.

ArbCom decision and clarification
DYK
  • User:Art LaPella has offered to report on Mattisse's contributions to DYK.[1] He can be contacted if any of Mattisse's contributions to DYK are causing or are likely to cause disruption; this is not a substitute for alerting editors here.
FAR
  • User:YellowMonkey can be contacted if any of Mattisse's contributions to FAR are causing or are likely to cause disruption;[2] this is not a substitute for alerting advisors/mentors here.
GA
  • Philcha and Geometry guy are active in the GA process. They can be alerted here if any of Mattisse's contributions to GAN or GAR are causing or are likely to cause disruption.
Current alerts/concerns are listed below. Please note that these may sometimes be reworded by advisors/mentors for clarity.

Monitoring page use

Concern raised by: SandyGeorgia (Talk)

Description of the issue: I am concerned that the Monitoring page is not being used for its intended purpose (Motion 9 and Motion 11), which is to coordinate mentoring activity and make sure all mentors are involved and issues are contained without escalation to uninvolved parties. The following threads are of concern:

  1. Original issue
  2. Mattisse talk thread 1
  3. Mattisse talk thread 2
  4. Geometry guy talk thread 1
  5. Geometry guy talk thread 2
  6. Moni3 talk thread
I discovered after registering this alert that the monitoring page is now a redirect to the alert page, in spite of the Arb case Motions 9 and 11. This is a concern, since it forces uninvolved editors to become involved by registering an alert to make sure mentors are coordinating and aware of multiple discussions across many pages. Perhaps a return to the use of a Monitoring page would have helped avoid this alert? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:01, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Date of alert: 18:46, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Actions taken by mentors: I am also concerned about the impact that Moni3 talk thread might make on this incident.
