- It is very unclear where this flickr portrait came from. It is the only upload by Churchtown2010, and it is very unlikely that this person took the picture as there is no attribution. Article To Be Used On/Reason For Upload: This is a photograph of a Japanese wall calendar in actual use in my home. I intend it for use on the Wikipedia "calendar" article.
Reason For Fair Use:
- Purpose and character of the use: The purpose is to illustrate the general appearance and use of a wall calendar with a separate page for every day. As the photo is of the calendar in actual use in a home, it fits the purpose quite aptly.
- The nature of the copyrighted work: Inspection of the calendar failed to yield any useful information as to who, if anyone, owns the copyright. For what it's worth, the calendar was purchased online from Rakuten, and is (or at least appears identical to) the one shown at: [[1]]
- The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole: Being one page of a yearly calendar, this would make it 1/365 of the total work, would it not? Although a calendar contains enough redundancy that it could be argued that it is much more than this...
- The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work: This page is part of a wall calendar, and is really only useful as such. The day indicated on the page is past, thus its market value is essentially zero.
