Beddau (Template:Lang-en) is a small village[1] around 1.5 miles from Llantrisant and situated 4 miles from the larger Welsh town of Pontypridd in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales. It falls within the Community of Llantrisant.

Education

Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Castellau is the village's Welsh speaking primary school. The school feeds into Ysgol Gyfun Garth Olwg. Gwaunmeisgyn Primary School is one of the village's English speaking primary school. The school feeds into Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive school.

Sport

Beddau is notable for its exported rugby union talent, such as Neil Jenkins, Michael Owen and Gethin Jenkins who had attended the Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive School in Beddau.

Beddau fields a rugby union team, Beddau RFC, as well as its own football team,Cwm Welfare AFC.
