The 2018 Summer Youth Olympics (officially known as III Summer Youth Olympic Games) will be the third in a series of Youth Olympic Games, a major international sports and cultural festival to be celebrated in the tradition of the Summer Olympic Games, in summer 2018, during the XXXI Olympiad.

Potential bids

The French NOC decided not to bid for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, instead pursuing the 2018 Winter Olympics. If their candidate Annecy loses that bid, Toulouse has expressed interest in bidding again for the Youth edition. [1]

The Philippines government expressed its intension to bid for the games.

Jose Antonio Hernandez Griego, Chairman of the youth group that ran the city for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, said the team meets again to bid for the 2018 edition [2] [3]
