NAC played a mix of contemporary jazz instrumentals, new age music instrumentals, contemporary jazz vocalists, soft R & B vocalists, and some soft rock adult contemporary cuts. This format was about half instrumental and half vocal. Most stations with this format would be reclassified as Smooth Jazz stations by 1994.
