Huggle

Since I notice you use Lupin's tool and have rollback rights, I thought you'd like to try out Huggle. It is much faster that Lupin's tool and allows you to warn and revert with a click of the mouse. Cheers, Mikemoral♪♫ 21:15, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Maybe I'll give it a try. GorillaWarfare talk 21:17, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've installed. Let's see if I can figure this out :] GorillaWarfare talk 21:48, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Russell Rings

You sent me a message about when i edited the "NBA most championship rings" page. Bill Russell only has 9 rings as a player and in the top of the page it states that you are only counting rings as a player, yet you list championship 10 and 11 which he won as a COACH as ones he won as a player. Same Jones should be moved to number 1 with his 10 rings as a player. This information is wrong and should be changed accordingly to keep wikipedia as accurate as possible. It also bothers me to see miss-information out there Thanx —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.2.133.184 (talk) 04:16, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I understand why you added the note, but in a case like that, you should either just change the information (see WP:BOLD) or you should post a note like that on the talk page. Also, when you post on a talk page, please remember to sign your posts by adding ~~~~ at the end. Thanks! -- GorillaWarfare talk 04:53, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

alright.

you mean for using my brain. it is not something that you should thank people for, it is something that is expected of everyone if they are to become and/or are responsible for something.

Well I think it still deserves a thank you... Also, please sign your posts by typing ~~~~. Have you considered getting an account? See WP:Why create an account? -- GorillaWarfare talk 01:18, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion of vandalism on Graham Norton

Thanks for your reversion of the vandalism by Stripeyshirt100000 on the Graham Norton article. Could I ask a favour in future, though? If you see edits like that which include a valid phone number (which may or may not be Graham Norton's) or any other personal information which has obviously been added without the owner's consent, please could you ask for Oversight on the edit? That removes the edit from public view - otherwise the phone number (or whatever) is still visible in the edit history. Just email the request, including the diff, to oversight-l@lists.wikimedia.org and they'll take care of it, usually in a matter of seconds. Take a look at the edit history of Graham Norton to see what Oversight has done in this case. Looks like the stripey-shirted vandal has made a habit of posting people's personal information, if you check out their contributions! Cheers, Tonywalton Talk 01:25, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen him post that same phone number on several different pages, so I'm assuming it's not an actual phone number. Is the policy the same nonetheless? -- GorillaWarfare talk 01:28, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's a valid-looking UK mobile/cell phone number (per http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/locator.php it's allocated to Vodafone, and the number's the right length, so it may well be someone's number). I see his edit to George Clooney has also been oversighted, probably for the same reason (though obviously I can't see the edit). The other edits don't seem to include personal information - which are these other pages? Tonywalton Talk 01:33, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, I don't see anymore but I could have sworn there were at least three... I'll go through all my other reverts and check that it wasn't in one of them. Thank you for the help! -- GorillaWarfare talk 01:37, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, thanks for your help! If it's someone adding the same number it looks like sockpuppetry. Reporting a sockpuppet is a bit involved so please do let me know if different users are doing this and I'll set the wheels in motion. Tomorrow - it's 1:40AM here so I'm going to kip! Cheers, Tonywalton Talk 01:40, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Turns out it's just me being crazy. Guess I imagined it. Thanks! -- GorillaWarfare talk 01:42, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cobalt Ont.

To who it may concern

I am deeply offended that you chose to delete my report on Kevan Walls achievement. It does not appear that you conducted any research whatsoever on this topic, you simply decided to delete it. I am glad that all editors are not like you.

Sincerely

The honest Wikipedia contributor —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.39.26.67 (talk) 02:11, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a Kevin Wall in Ontario, but I see no mention of a burger-eating contest. Even still, doing so on the spot and not as part of an organized competition is unlikely to it the WP:Notability guidelines. If you can show me a WP:Verifiable source, I will be happy to change the edit back. Also, perhaps you should see WP:No personal attacks, as your accusations are inflammatory. Also, please sign your posts by typing ~~~~ at the end. Thank you! GorillaWarfare talk 02:51, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I had an issue with the same editor. You might be interested in reading his response on my talk page. Also, I noticed that you enjoy stagecraft. So greetings from a fellow techie! Funnyfarmofdoom (talk) 04:05, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, I see. Thank you for the heads up! Well I suppose it'll go as it goes. It seems his editing has calmed down for the night, at least. And cool, nice to see another of my kind on here! Do you have a particularly specialty in the tech world? GorillaWarfare talk 04:23, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

March 2010

Hello, I noticed the message you've sent me about adding copyrighted material to the SOCOM 4 page. I am interested to know which section of the page it is because I'm rather certain that I did not do such a thing on purpose perhaps it was accidental or a misunderstanding. Would you mind clarifying? Thanks.KiasuKiasiMan (talk) 11:22, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent message

You have recently posted the following [1] I have no idea what you are on about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.4.25 (talk) 01:55, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit to Dymaxion house changed several instances of the word "aluminum" to "aluminium". "Aluminum" is a common spelling of this word, mostly in North America. It is widely accepted (even by the [[American Chemical Society[[). See Aluminium#Etymology for more information, if you like. On Wikipedia, we try to respect national varieties of English, discussed on this article: Wikipedia:Manual of Style#National varieties of English. Please don't continue to unnecessarily change between the two variants. Also, in the future, please sign your talk page posts by typing ~~~~ after your message. Thank you, and I apologize for any confusion! -- GorillaWarfare talk 02:03, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply. The spelling of 'aluminium' is not a national issue. The use of 'aluminium' is the correct spelling, which has been set by the relevant professional body, The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. You will see this was noted in the edit summary of Dymaxion House. Equally whilst 'sulphur' is prefered in many countries the IUPAC set the correct spelling as 'sulfur' —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.4.25 (talk) 02:12, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize, I was unaware of the Wikipedia rules for the use of "aluminium" instead of "aluminum". My mistake, feel free to remove the warning from your talk page if you so choose. -- GorillaWarfare talk 02:22, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK .. thanks. Not wishing to cause offence (or offense!) may I ask that you are a litte less hasty with warnings in the future. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.197.4.25 (talk) 02:26, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I apologize. Also, please sign your posts. And have you considered making an account? -- GorillaWarfare talk 02:28, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There was no mistake, GorillaWarfare. I changed it back to Aluminum myself as well. It is an American spelling in an American subject. Rmhermen (talk) 02:31, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
