Thomas V. "Tommy" Tallarico (born February 18, 1968) is an accomplished American video game music composer. He founded Tommy Tallarico Studios in 1994 and the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) in 2001. He co-hosts, produces, and writes for The Electric Playground, a TV show about video games. He also co-hosts Judgment Day, a television show in which he and Victor Lucas review video games.

Since entering the video game industry in 1991, Tallarico has worked on over three-hundred titles including the Earthworm Jim series, MDK, Spot Goes to Hollywood, Maximo, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. He recently worked on the videogame Advent Rising.

Controversy

Tallarico is often criticized of being biased against Nintendo or games aimed at the younger crowd. One often cited example is that he gave Super Smash Bros. Melee for the GameCube (one of the most popular and best reviewed games the GameCube has to offer) a 2/10 on Judgement Day, with other games having a similar fate. In reality, many games for all current consoles have recieved low scores, though he does openly admit that he is more of a casual gamer, and has his own scale that may or may not seem strict to other people. He is also often perceived as a jokester on shows, which many believe was proof he was just a face the network threw on television because he could relate to the GTA-gaming public, though he has stated his number one priority is to entertain viewers, and his antics seem to be a part of that.

At the end of 2005 Tallarico caused controversy on the IGN boards by saying that the PlayStation 3 first generation games were, in his opinion, more impressive than those of the Xbox 360. [1]

In January 2006, Tallarico announced on his website that him and friend Victor Lucas had decided to move Judgment Day off of G4 to a different network, under the name Reviews on the Run. Details haven't been disclosed.
