== Swahili and Islam ==

In the Swahili version, as well as in external literature, I found that Shaaban R., being of Yao origin, called himself consistently a "Swahili" in the sense of ethnicity, at a time when Swahili was still considered mostly an auxiliary language. Are there any sources whether this has to to with his Islamic creed - and, is it known '''how''' he came to adopt Islam? [[bar:Benutzer:Hellsepp|Hellsepp]] 20:20, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

text has been copied from a newspaper article

I came across this page and started fixing up the formatting and references and found that the text was a direct copy of a newspaper article. Should this page be removed? Stellar 02:32, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The title of the page.

Swahili and Islam

In the Swahili version, as well as in external literature, I found that Shaaban R., being of Yao origin, called himself consistently a "Swahili" in the sense of ethnicity, at a time when Swahili was still considered mostly an auxiliary language. Are there any sources whether this has to to with his Islamic creed - and, is it known how he came to adopt Islam? Hellsepp 20:20, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
