Latvia

  • Were the band really "short lived" in comparison to most bands of their ilk?
    • No wouldnt say so, the band have been going for more or less 15 years (give or take Tony's interest in the band) with many 'gigs' in the 00s before the full 2006 reunion~~
  • The two band members have a "dislike of girls with big feet", how is this relevant to anything? Is this not just an example of misogyny?
Misogyny is hatred for or prejudice against women. Not big feet. If they dislike women with big feet then conversely they must like women with small feet, so how can it be sexism? Some people really need to learn what words mean and how to use them - especially when they accuse people of bigotry. Let me ask you, do you like men or women with a particular hair colour? Or a certain size of chest or 'tackle'? How about skinny, well-proportioned, muscular or overweight? What's your "thing" when it comes to the opposite (or same) sex? Having preferences and/or dislikes does not make one a prejudiced bigot: we all discriminate (i.e. choose) when we make selections or decisions. For instance, I spotted my present partner in a crowd - and she had also noticed me: what made her stand out to me in a group of 50+ people? Long black hair down to her waist. Love it: went over to chat her up, we clicked, got to know each other, fell in love and the rest is history. Why had she noticed me? I have blonde hair: she loves that. How misogynistic of me: but not of her of course, because women aren't sexist....right?
By the way, I don't see how it is relevant to anything. I'll delete it but a fan may put it back. -- 195.92.40.49 13:52, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
