Mehr or Mihr or Meher (Middle Persian and New Persian (and Urdu: مهر; Sanskrit: मेहर/मिहिर/महर), meaning sun, love, friendship, affection, kindness, blessing or mercy, may refer to:

  • Mers / Mair, Mihir, Mehr, Mehar is a Hindu warrior caste. This is a title largely used by the Arain tribe of Punjab.
  • Mehr, an alternative name for Mithra, itself the Persian language equivalent of Indo-Iranian (Sanskrit and Avestan), meaning "covenant". This Zoroastrian divinity is from whom kindness and mercy is requested, and is also associated with the sun and friendship.
  • Mehr, the seventh month of the year and the sixteenth day of the month of the Zoroastrian calendar, which are dedicated to the namesake divinity. This practice is also evident in the Iranian calendar, which derives its month names from the Zoroastrian ones.
  • Mehr's day, or Mehregan, the Zoroastrian/Iranian festival celebrated in honor of Mehr/Mithra.
  • Mehr, an Islamic-Iranian epithet of the sun during the month of Ramadan.
  • "Meher", common form of appreciating god's blessing in the Punjabi community, as in "rab di meher".
