Suzi Perry (born 3 May 1970) is an English television presenter, best known for covering MotoGP for the BBC for 13 years.
Early life
Suzi Perry was born in an RAF hospital in Shropshire, England; the daughter of a music promoter - her godfather was guitarist Mel Galley.[1] Raised in Finchfield,[1] she attended Smestow school in Wolverhampton, and had a school job as a lighting technician at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.[1] She went on to study business studies and finance at Wolverhampton Polytechnic.[2]
After college she had a break in modelling and spent 15 months in Japan and 18 months in London.
Broadcasting career

Perry is now known as a motor sports correspondent, reporting on motorcycle racing for BBC News and also appears in other sports-related programmes, including Wimbledon, The Boat Race, The London Marathon, Royal Ascot and The Great North Run.
She also helped to present the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Perry presented coverage of MotoGP for BBC Sport, although in February 2010, she announced that she was stepping down from Moto GP coverage due to the other commitments and the excessive travelling involved.[citation needed] She was replaced by Jennie Gow.[3]
She was also part of the BBC presenting team at the 2010 Epsom Derby[4] and Royal Ascot.[5]
Other TV work
Perry appeared on the 2002-03 revival of Treasure Hunt, where she took the 'skyrunner' role made famous by Anneka Rice.
Since 2004 she has been a co-presenter for Five's The Gadget Show, a hi-tech weekly programme, alongside Jason Bradbury, Jon Bentley and Ortis Deley. She was temporarily replaced by Gail Porter whilst she recovered from an ectopic pregnancy, and returned to The Gadget Show in August 2009.
On 15 May 2008, she appeared on Through the Keyhole on BBC Two, allowing Lisa Snowdon to look around her property before being identified by the panel. In 2010 she appeared on ITV's All Star Mr and Mrs with husband Bastien.[6]
Her other shows include Housecall, Superstars, City Hospital and Holiday.

Support for charity
In 2006 Perry appeared as a celebrity showjumper in the BBC's Sport Relief event Only Fools on Horses. On 12 July, after being voted off the show, she revealed that she had fallen off her horse a total of 12 times.[10][11]
Perry is a patron of Promise Dreams, a charity based in her home town of Wolverhampton that was launched in 2001. Promise Dreams raise money for children who are seriously or terminally ill and provide treatment, help and support for both them and their families.[12] Perry is also a patron of the National Association for Bikers with a Disability.[13]
