I read somewhere in Jalal al Ahmad's book that this encyclopedia was the first written in the West. Is this true and if so please add the information to the page's content.

Spelling

Is the correct spelling of the first word of the title "Encyclopaedia", or should it be "Encyclopædia" with a ligature, as with Encyclopædia Britannica? Wmahan. 19:05, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The citation provided provides no proof that EI is an industry standard which is stated to effect on the front page.

First edition

I read somewhere in Jalal al Ahmad's book that this encyclopedia was the first written in the West. Is this true and if so please add the information to the page's content.
