Warning for hoax link

The probable hoax Atmospheric beast is linked up to this article, guising it as amoeba-like outer space animals. It's probable the entire sentence should be erased as a hoax intended to perpetuate Atmospheric beast. Said: Rursus ☻ 10:18, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Google search on "Atmospheric beast" "Ivan T. Sanderson" gives 7 hits. 2 are Wikipedia, 1 is a copy of Wikipedia, 4 are not connecting Sanderson with Atmospheric Beast at all. The sentence about Atmospheric beast is a blatant hoax, I'm going to remove it aggressively, so that electrons fly around. Name confusion

Citations

This article needs some citations. For instance the quotation about the Kongamato encounter needs to be sourced. I found this in Everett H. Ortner, "Do "Extinct" Animals Still Survive?" Popular Science September 1959, p. 87. It's there word for word, complete with the narrative about shooting the bat first.
