Massive Attack
"Massive Attack" is officially on the album!!! People need to stop taking it off the singles list and confirmed tracks! The song was officially released to radio and digital download and a music video was released! Nicki has NEVER said the song won't appear on the album, and even stated that once she heard the song that that is the direction she wanted to go for the album! Leave it on the article!!! Theuhohreo (talk) 14:11, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes the SONG was released as a single, but never confirmed for the album! The fact that she stated the song was the direction she wanted to go for the album, that absolutely never confirms on its own that it will be an album track! Singles released by other artists before were never included on the album which they were recorded for, and sometimes this will happen even with the artist stating that it is the direction they want for the album. Until she specifically confirms that it will actually be an official album track, do not include it under the ASSUMPTION that it will be a track. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Core2012 (talk • contribs) 20:52, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
In a uStream that she did in early August, in which she announced the album's title, she stated that the only song that has been heard by people from the album is "Your Love". If that isn't proof that "Massive Attack" won't be on the album, I don't know what is. And since it isn't on the album, it must be recognized as a buzz single and not an official single.

The main problem I have with this page is that single "Massive Attack". I've created a talks page and know one discusses it but instead keeps editing the page! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theuhohreo (talk • contribs) 18:09, 17 August 2010

Okay, what the heck guys. Those producers we listed are ON THE ALBUM ACCORDING TO NICKI MINAJ. And if a track lists, we list it as a possible track on the album. We basically set this whole article back by deleting all of those producers. SMH —Preceding unsigned comment added by Broomtherapper (talk • contribs) 18:36, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
First official single
Okay, so "Massive Attack" isn't going to be on the record so "Your Love" was thought to be official single #1 while "Check It Out" was supposed to be single #2. However, per this link: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1648698/20100924/baby_aka_the_1_stunna.jhtml the first official single is supposed to be "Right Through Me" (which just leaked) and that "Check It Out" may not even be on the album. How exactly are we supposed to approach/deal with this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.121.57.101 (talk) 02:05, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- We'll wait and see. There's no evidence that "Massive Attack" won't be on the record. I suppose "Your Love" is similar to Usher's "Papers". -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 02:10, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- If "Massive Attack" and "Your Love" are going to be on the album then they are the first three official singles. Considering "Check It Out" was released by will.i.am. music group/Interscope, it may just be an album track if it is from Pink Friday (similar to how the duet "Eenie Meenie" by Sean Kingston/Justin Bieber is only an album track from My World 2.0). The buzz single situation is kind of iffy because it's really not acknowledge as an official type of single. I mean Papers got a download date, a radio add date, and was included on the album. How was it a buzz single and not an official single? Beats me. lol. Candyo32 02:14, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- I mean you know when the label down plays it a bit. Well as far as I can tell, Nicki has always referred to "Check it Out" as a single and MTV even says the song may be included on Pink Friday but isn't officially confirmed as of yet. Either way for the time being I think we the singles should be listed as 1. Massive Attack, 2. Your Love, 3. Right Through Me. As these were all linked to Minaj's debut album. "Check it Out" shouldn't be listed but people keep adding it back. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 02:21, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

- I changed it. I hope no one reverts it. As for "Massive Attack", Minaj stated that the song won't be on the record. In August she said that the only song heard from the record was "Your Love". I just don't understand how she called the song her first official single then released "Check It Out" and made it seem like single #2 then Baby who works closely with Nicki calls "Right Through Me" her first single. -- User:Solotwilight User talk:Solotwilight 20:33, 24 September 2010
Check It Out
According to this: http://www.mypinkfriday.com/releases Check It Out isn't a joint single but rather Nicki feat. will.i.am. Nicki stated via her Twitter that regarding the MSU scam that happened to do with her shows, that this website was set up by her team. -- User:Solotwilight | User talk:Solotwilight 20:47, 24 September 2010
- That's not true because per the single cover its a joint single and also it was released by will.i.am music not by YM/Cm -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 15:40, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Also, why is it not listed as a "single" in the Singles section. Why does Right Thru Me take precedence over it? Fixer23 (talk) 23:54, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- It hasn't been confirmed as a Pink Friday track yet. Yvesnimmo (talk) 23:55, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- MTV has confirmed its inclusion [1] 155.69.192.97 (talk) 08:39, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you. Yvesnimmo (talk) 14:30, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- It is still speculation especially since FMBQ radio announced that will.i.am music sent the song to radio and promoted the song. There's no mention of Cash Money/Young Money/Universal Motown. It is not being pushed by Minaj as a single from Pink Friday. That is why it was deliberately omitted. My calculated estimation is that it is a will.i.am single only but will still be featured on Pink Friday. This is distinctly different from Nicki releasing it as a single from her album. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 18:40, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Features
I just saw her press conference in Trinidad and there are the following features: Eminem, Drake, Rihanna, Kanye West, and Natasha Beddingfield! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LqbgWbmrfk —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.195.66.52 (talk) 00:50, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Cool! I didn't expect a Bedingfield collaboration; I guess that goes against the rumored track listing going around. I guess we'll just have to wait until the track listing is officially released to know the names of the songs! :) Yves (talk) 00:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Roman's Revenge is the next single
It's a single on iTunes. Ending-start, you need sources to back your claim that it is a promo single. –Chase (talk / contribs) 03:49, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- You need a source to say that it's the next single. Just because it's been released on iTunes doesn't mean a thing. ΣПDiПG–STΛЯT (Talk) 03:53, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- I think it is premature to assume the track will be an official single. Singles are released digitally from albums all the time, and there is no indication of this track receiving a physical release thus far. The single cover is also the same as the album cover, and the link http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/romans-revenge-feat-eminem/id400968519 is not accessible without installation of iTunes. Yves (talk) 03:54, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's not assuming that the song will be an official single. It already has been released. No source says that it is a promo single, so we'll have to wait and see on that. As for now, we should treat it as the next single. –Chase (talk / contribs) 03:58, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- I hope it does. The song is sickkkk. What constitutes the difference between a promotional single and a [non-promotional] legit one? Yves (talk) 04:07, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Generally, if a song is on iTunes as a "Countdown to (album)" campaign, it's a promo. This isn't (but it could very well be a promo anyway) so we'll just have to assume it's official until we get word from Nicki's team saying otherwise. –Chase (talk / contribs) 05:16, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- So Ke$ha's "Sleazy" is an official single? Yves (talk) 05:20, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Not fully aware of the circumstances, so I might be missing out on something, but it looks that way. –Chase (talk / contribs) 06:19, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Not an iTunes countdown, it's sold along with preorder of Pink Friday see. However, it might be a new official single. Mike Posner's "Please Don't Go" was released the same way and ended up being the second single. Not sure. --Cprice1000talk2me 12:25, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Stop.... just stop. It is not the next single! Digital download does not confirm a single release, it is just for promotion and it's GENIUS on Nicki's part!! The song will go on "Other charted songs" once it charts, cause it is definitely NOT a single release! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.72.160.180 (talk) 17:09, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

- Actually, you need references that prove it WILL be a single! An iTunes release is NOTHING! and it doesn't even have a single cover out, it is being distributed through the actual album itself, even further proving that it is NOT yet a single! Theuhohreo (talk) 19:33, 31 October 2010 (UTC)

Nowhere has it actually been said that "Roman's Revenge" is a single. Its not on iTunes as a seperate single its simply takes you to the album's page as an instant download and its certainly not claimed by Rap Up. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:12, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- Not to sure were you're coming from, but i agree that "Roman's Revenge" is NOT a single release, and actually completely agree with your statement above. This subject here is about the songs producer and the references about it. Theuhohreo (talk) 02:58, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Check It Out: Round 2
I understand that this was already made a subject on here, but i am re-opening it up for discussion... The song was OFFICIALLY released on iTunes (single cover and all) and even released on radio! Their was even a music video released for the single... The only album the single is actually from is Pink Friday! Just because it is ordered as "will.i.am & Nicki Minaj" that has absolutely NOTHING to do with it! Unless I see actual references that state the song is not officially from the album, it'll be added to the Pink Friday page as a single, just like it is added so in every other page that discusses Pink Friday singles!.... Theuhohreo (talk) 04:05, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- It's not released by Minaj's label. It's released by will.i.am's label. Although it is credited as a duet, it is not a single from Pink Friday. Just because it appears on the album does not mean it's a single from it... –Chase (talk / contribs) 17:51, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Here is your proof!!!
http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100#/news/will-i-am-nicki-minaj-check-it-out-1004116815.story
- Here is more proof!
- and more....
- And here is MORE proof (although these might not be as thick as the ones above^)
http://www.rap-up.com/2010/09/27/nicki-minaj-will-i-am-go-back-to-the-future-in-check-it-out-video/

http://www.rap-up.com/2010/09/02/single-cover-will-i-am-nicki-minaj-check-it-out/
- Now I'm pretty damn sure Billboard and Rap-Up are a lot more believable and legit than your word of mouth. The single will be added the albums page, unless you can actually show REFERENCES that support your claim! Theuhohreo (talk) 21:00, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- This is also another reference for the single being released on Pink Friday. Nicki is being interviewed by Regis & Kelly (after performance) and promotes it with album (catch it in the end of the interview if you don't want to sit through the song :p) http://www.rap-up.com/2010/10/11/video-nicki-minaj-and-will-i-am-rock-regis-and-kelly/
Doesn't matter. FMBQ radio shows that the single was promoted and released by will.i.am Music which is part of Interscope Records. It is a seperate division of Universal Music Group, compared to Universal Motown who are the backroom label for Nicki Minaj. It has nothing to do with word of mouth. its exactly the same situation as "Eenie Meanie" by Justin Beiber and Sean Kingston which features on both of their albums but is counted as a single only from Kingston's album. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:14, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Exactly. Being on an album and being a single from that album are not the same. The single was not released by Young Money, it was released by Interscope. When (and if) will.i.am releases the album that this single is on, it can be listed as a single from his album. It is not a single from Minaj's. Now please stop or find sources that actually back your claims (not sources that claim it will be on Pink Friday, we already know this). –Chase (talk / contribs) 22:28, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- A song release is not automatically classified as a single. It must be promoted as one... -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:32, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yes I understand the whole "Eenie Meanie" situation. It would also work-out with "Check It Out" if all the references above didn't state otherwise. The first reff from Billboard states "The next single from Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" is as much a showcase for the female MC's stylistic flair and fast improvement as it is for Will.i.am's dominance." <about "Check it out") All the references above state that the song is a single from Pink Friday, and i wouldn't even take it to heart if it wasn't from such reliable sources as Billboard & Rap-Up. I mean, Nicki even promoted the song as a single from Pink Friday in her interview with Regis & Kelly. I get that it was released through will.i.am's music group, but wouldn't it be possible to be released through will.i.am's music group for Nicki Minaj? (maybe almost like "Just Dance" being released through Kon Live along with their own label???) Theuhohreo (talk) 22:41, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Gaga is signed to four labels (Cherrytree, Interscope, Kon Live and the other one). Its different story. Nicki is signed to YM and CM both of which owned by Universal Motown. The fact is we have a dispute of sources here. We have reliable sources both claiming different things. However the Billboard and Rap Up sources claim something different from FMBQ however they do NOT discredit what it says. Will.i.am music (a label Nicki has no affiliation to) released the song to radio meaning they hold copyright and rights to the song. As Minaj is not on that label she is not attached to the song other than being credited as one of the featured vocalists. At the end of the day will.i.am music is promoting the release and neither Billboard or Rap Up explain why that still makes it Minaj's single. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:51, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Alright, see? That's all i needed to hear a simple "The fact is we have a dispute of sources here. We have reliable sources both claiming different things. However the Billboard and Rap Up sources claim something different from FMBQ however they do NOT discredit what it says." that's fine enough for me to be content with the situation... Only thing is, what happens on Nicki Minaj discography#Singles? Cause it's labelled as a single from Pink Friday, so what should it be labelled as now? Theuhohreo (talk) 18:34, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

- Echoing what Lil-unique and Chase have stated, FMQB says the single is released through Interscope NOT Young Money, therefore not a single from Pink Friday. It is just an album track, as "Eenie Meenie" (released through Kingston's Beluga/Epic not Bieber's Island/RBMG) was on My World 2.0. Candyo32 01:25, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- "Eenie Meenie" is a joint single. Yves (talk) 02:06, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
A different label means nothing. See Louboutins and Love? (album). Louboutins was released on Sony Music yet Def Jam is releasing the album the single is from. Different labels does not mean anything. --Cprice1000talk2me 21:03, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Even if, for the sake of the argument, "Check it Out" is not apart of Pink Friday. It is still a featured single and should be listed as such in the discography and otherwise. That's how we solve that. I Help, When I Can.[12] 20:57, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- It's a joint single, not a featured one. Yves (talk) 20:59, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- Ok... Then where shall it go?? I Help, When I Can.[12] 03:26, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- It's a joint single, not a featured one. Yves (talk) 20:59, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Release Date
How is it set to come out on a Monday, I thought all CDs come out on Tuesdays? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.67.126.125 (talk) 20:47, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently not for that week: albums by Akon, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, My Chemical Romance, Ne-Yo, and Robyn are all slated to come out that day: http://features.metacritic.com/features/upcoming-album-release-calendar/ Yves (talk) 20:51, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
NOVEMBER 22ND, 2010
This is the release date! NOT NOVEMBER 19TH! GET YOUR FACTS TOGETHER! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.34.53.103 (talk) 02:07, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, that is the American release date that Minaj has been tweeting for months now. We use the earliest release date on Wikipedia, in this case the nineteenth in Germany. Yves (talk) 02:10, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
2 Best Buy Bonus Tracks
You forgot the 2 best buy bonus tracks on the tracklisting. 18. Catch Me 19. Wave Ya Hand
check Nicki's twitter page for confirmation :D —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.234.193 (talk) 20:25, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- Those track don't seem to be on any of the three Best Buy order pages. Yves (talk) 20:29, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Yes I know I don't think they have updated it yet. But: http://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/4583504444653568 and we already knew there was going to be 2 bonus tracks there to add up to 19 songs altogether.
- We have to wait for a reliable source. Yves (talk) 20:54, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
What? How is the artist of the album not a reliable source? —Preceding unsigned comment added by JamesssxD (talk • contribs) 12:22, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- Idk why twitter isn't that reliable either... But I did update the bonus tracks with a correct reference. It is Nicki Minaj's official website for the album Pink Friday Theuhohreo (talk) 18:42, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- Addition to ^that^. Do we need to keep the reference right next to the additional bonus tracks? Cause I did add it to the list of references for the entire album track-listing, so I'm not quite sure if it's definitely needed right there, or is it better to leave it their for now till it's release? Theuhohreo (talk) 18:44, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I don't think you need to keep the reference, I don't think it's needed because most people know that it has that many bonus tracks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.97.22.208 (talk) 18:36, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- Exclusive bonus tracks always require a cite, as the info is not available to everyone with the album. I do own the Best Buy edition and can confirm there are two bonus tracks, however, for some odd reason, this is not mentioned on mypinkfriday.com or bestbuy.com. (However, this notes that there are two bonus tracks, but they aren't specified.) Can't find the bonus track info in any reliable sources. And while official Twitter accounts are reliable in some instances, this would need official confirmation from Minaj's website or Best Buy.
- For now, I will add the info with a citation needed tag, and when we find a reliable source, we can cite it. –Chase (talk / contribs) 22:01, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
- I don't think they should be added yet. Does anyone actually have any evidence that if you buy the album from Best Buy you get bonus tracks? Its likely it was planned but it didnt happen in the end hence the BB order pages doesn't mention them. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 23:32, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
- I own the album and the bonus tracks are indeed on there. It's not being made up. The problem is that no reliable sources report them. Wikipedia is constantly changing, nothing is permanent here, so I don't see what's wrong with keeping them with a citation needed tag for awhile. This is fact, not made up, so it should get reported by a RS sooner or later. –Chase (talk / contribs) 23:56, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
- That's ok then... (i never doubted their existance - they did leak after all). You can cite them from the album's credits/booklet. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 00:30, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Writers credit
So according to Billboard at this reference: http://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100#/album/nicki-minaj/pink-friday/1455271 if you were to click on all the individual songs (only the main edition, not the deluxe) than it lists the writers on the left hand side. Are these notable enough or should we still wait for the album's official release on Monday? Theuhohreo (talk) 20:05, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Release Date
The release date for Pink friday is November 22nd but it says November 19th. I try to changed it but it got changed back. Please change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.88.144.87 (talk) 23:06, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- The album was first released the nineteenth. Yves (talk) 23:09, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
Then why don't you put international release dates —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.88.144.87 (talk) 23:19, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
- They're already present...? Yves (talk) 00:19, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
- Um, actually, yes they are. If you can't find them, you're not looking hard enough. Yves (talk) 07:12, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

RIAA / Certified GOLD
Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" has broken TWO RIAA Records. Selling over 500k copies. So it already went Silver and Gold! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.55.53.191 (talk) 00:22, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- How exciting! But...the RIAA doesn't agree with you yet...--mikomango (talk) 00:28, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- It takes RIAA FOREVER to update their database. I believe I have some Billboard cites. Let me get them!!! I Help, When I Can.[12] 03:30, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Records? For what? --Cprice1000talk2me 03:39, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Probably Some "Female Rapper, Certification" thing. Well...These sources are OK.
- GlobalGrind.
- Her own site. (but it is her own site... uhh...)
- The Boombox (AOL).
- AllHipHop.

Would prefer the RIAA official website but her own website is sufficient. OK Do one of you want to add this or should I? --Cprice1000talk2me 03:55, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Her own website, as a primary source, is not sufficient for certifications, given out by third parties. Yves (talk) 06:18, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Which is best out of the list? --Cprice1000talk2me 13:14, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- We need an official RIAA one. It's they who award certifications. Yves (talk) 18:52, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but as explained above, their online databases are only updated every now and then. Maybe we could use one of the above until they release their new certifications? --Cprice1000talk2me 22:50, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

- No. we've had this discussion too often before. The only reliable source for certifications is the certificate provider. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | (talk) 22:55, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Fine. I will remove the certification until the RIAA updates their database. --Cprice1000talk2me 23:32, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Question
Do you announce it went silver too? or no , since its not that huge a deal.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.48.90.66 (talk) 22:08, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
- Umm, I'm not even sure they have that certification in the United States. I think Silver only applies to the UK. Either way, we don't have the cites for silver. We have the cites for gold and platinum. I Help, When I Can.[12] 22:13, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
