| Mayhem Festival concert chronology | |
Mayhem Festival 2011 will be the fourth annual Mayhem Festival created by Kevin Lyman. The official lineup was announced on January 31, 2011.[1] It is the first year that the festival will utilize a rotating main stage slot, and the first year that the tour will have more than one act returning from previous lineups.
Rotating Main Stage openers
This summer's tour will utilize a rotating slot for the main stage opener. The slot will rotate between Machine Head, Trivium, and In Flames. One band will open the main stage and the other two will headline the side stages.[2]
