Re: Tony Gilbert

In reference to your post, I would be happy to help with the Tony Gilbert article. I would like to concentrate first on his participation in the International Brigades, as I've done a fair bit of research on that period already. You wouldn't happen to know the specific regions he served in, would you? If I know where to focus my efforts, I could be a lot more helpful.

Your sig

Is there any reason that your signature doesn't include the full date and UTC time? That makes it harder to figure out the chronology of a discussion, especially when you insert your comments out of order. SnottyWong confer 04:01, 13 October 2010 (UTC) [reply]

Thankyou

I really appreciate that, thanks for your kind thought.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:20, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Closed without consensus. Please work on the article more, as noted. Bearian (talk) 20:44, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cigar band

He, he, sorry about that, I was wondering what would happen if I did that(I've always wanted to do that. this is the first and only time). My bad. On the other hand, I give kudos for you to make the article. I could barely find any sources on this. If you have any Questions about the ATSF, ask me, as I am a railfan. Sorry :)--TalkToMecintelati 23:10, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, re:shoe goo

This is the best ever glue I've ever come across. Not even going into metaphors, glues are something that actually and as a fact holds a lot of out technology together - and thus our civilization.

I find it totally lame that so called editors would rather go for a "delete" with very a western-colonial approach: the "notability" requisites are quite irrelevant outside of big-business. In this case this article was saved because "People" magazine lowered itself to mention such a great product as Shoe Goo - which even its origin and profit are such a tiny drop in the scale of what is "notable"... I mean, how sorry can we get?

I am so glad you managed to save this. For many reasons to build up notability for these small players is very hard - and we enter a circle where notable breeds notable, as a "class", sort of in Marxist parlance, I am sure you get it 100%

I'm sure many of articles you contributed to are "more important". Yet this action of yours is, in many ways, meaningful. I also always saw that "wikipedia is not paper", but too many fringe subject articles are sporting the "due to be deleted" banner for my liking, and was worried I was rather alone in my view - and not so involved with the 'pedia to fight back.

Thanks again

Jeopardy! Kids Week

You previously participated in an AFD discussion regarding a child article of Jeopardy!. There is currently another ongoing AFD for Jeopardy! Kids Week and you may be interested in providing a comment or vote for/against deletion. If you'd like to participate you can find the discussion here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeopardy! Kids Week. Sottolacqua (talk) 03:31, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

James graham Phelps Stokes

Hello I would like to replace the redirect page for 'Graham Stokes' to an article about the british music executive Graham Stokes and I was advised to let you know before I do this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Claire Paxton-Rider (talkcontribs) 14:18, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just thought you might like to know how the article from this AfD you participated in turned out. It has been cleaned up and is nearing completion. And it looks good.

By the way, the guy (User:A Radish for Boris) who nominated it for deletion was discovered to be a sock puppet, and has been indefinitely blocked. So I guess the AfD was invalid to begin with.

Thank you for your support. The Transhumanist    05:06, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please participate in this discussion

You were involved in the old AfD for this article and I request that you leave a comment and your opinion on the question I have raised on the talk page. Thank you for your time. SilverserenC 22:27, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your edits to the article, they made it better and I, for one, appreciate it ^_^ - ManicSpider (talk) 03:52, 27 January 2011 (UTC) [reply]

The article Shoe Goo never mentions the company. Could you explain the connection?

I was doing a search for something else and Willamette came up, so I was going to put a hatnote on WVCO. The trouble is I can't do that without fear of being reverted if the redirect goes someplace inappropriate.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 16:48, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see it now, thanks. That's still not enough to justify a hatnote. I may work on the situation when I get time.Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:11, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Thompson-principles.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Thompson-principles.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hopefully resolved. I added the appropriate pre. 1923 tag. But I don't know why you wrote "THE NEW LICENSING PULL DOWN MENU SUCKS!!!" on the page. I suppose your own user talk page may be okay to vent that frustration, but not the encyclopedia space. mechamind90 04:40, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well done! Keep up the good work. If you have a few minutes to spare, please give me your opinion of an article I wrote a while back, Ford Hunger March. Thanks. Cullen328 (talk) 20:08, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
