* Change death location from "near Brawley, CA" to "near Palo Verde, CA" and "north of Brawley, CA" to "west of Palo Verde, CA." Palo Verde, CA is only about 7 miles away from Tanner's place of death, while Brawely is 50+miles away. Also changed "Clapp Springs" to Clapp Spring. Clapp Spring is the proper name of the desert spring.[[Special:Contributions/98.176.233.118|98.176.233.118]] ([[User talk:98.176.233.118|talk]]) 09:36, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Some Tanner interviews (for future article expansion)

Fight Record

I spoke to Evan himself through e-mail and he stated that the Full Contact Fighter website has the most comprehensive fight record of his and that it is very accurate compared to Sherdog where I believe the original record box for this page was started off of. I updated it using the rounds and times that were missing from the original. Evan said looking at it, he thought there were some fights missing - I actually thought this too when I looked at it the first time around but it's looking pretty dead on to me. Does anyone else want to help with some research on this? jayc948 13:51, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Death

Both his manager [1] and close friend [2] have confirmed that he is dead. I don't think we have to wait for the police or coroner to verify what has already been confirmed. Ilostmydog (talk) 03:40, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Law enforcement tells us the 37-year-old went out into the desert near San Diego last Friday. That same day, Tanner sent a text message to a friend that he was out of water and needed help. There was a massive search that ended abruptly yesterday.

As for the body that was discovered, cops have not yet identified the remains."--70.157.42.133 (talk) 03:42, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well Ilostmydog,don't you know how to use a signature? --70.157.42.133 (talk) 03:47, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UFC.com has now confirmed his death. It's not really in doubt anymore. Not sure what you are getting at with the signature bit. Ilostmydog (talk) 03:58, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[3] has VERY detailed article concerning his death, that I think would greatly expand the Death section and help everyone out Floodo1 (talk) 06:14, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Request

Since FoxSports carried the story of his death, I did request the photo (and wondered about photos of other boxers) be posted here by InsideFighting.com Imlookingnow (talk) 17:27, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm willing to donate the photo of Evan Tanner found here. You can crop me out of it. 68.229.185.85 (talk) 21:54, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fighting Out Of Needs To Be Changed To

Fought Out Of since Fighting out of is present tense and it needs to be changed to past tense since he is now deceased. Does anyone know how to change it?Lasttiger (talk) 19:57, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
