*Delete - There is nothing that such an article title can or would address that is not already in the terrorism page. Reads more like an intro to a bad blog entry. Tarc (talk) 17:29, 12 April 2011 (UTC) |

- Terrorist mass killings (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
This article combines the same term used in different sources for different meanings. For example:
- "For lack of a better term, I refer to episodes of mass killing motivated by these goals as terrorist mass killings.Unlike many conceptions of terrorism, however, this terminology encompasses terrorist violence conducted by states, and explicitly includes such violence when it occurs during war." (Valentino, Final solutions, p. 84)[1]
- Although Malmquist does not define terrorist mass killings, he writes "A mass murderer as noted is one who kills three or four or more victims at one time as part of an ongoing killing event." (Malquist, Homicide, pp. 42, 45)[2]
This opens up events such as the American bombing of Japan and the actions of Al Qaeda to be grouped together. But clearly the two writers are talking about different things. Also, while Valentino says that he is using his own terminology, Malquist uses the term as a synonym for mass murder. The article does not present a source that groups these types of killings together. Therefore violates synthesis, neologism and probably neutrality as well. TFD (talk) 17:12, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

- Apart from the fact that this is well sourced you mean? And the terrorist mass killings happen on quite a regular basis? Tentontunic (talk) 19:23, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- Delete - There is nothing that such an article title can or would address that is not already in the terrorism page. Reads more like an intro to a bad blog entry. Tarc (talk) 17:29, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- Delete I was going to refrain, but it would appear that List of terrorist incidents already covers this material and subject matter sufficiently. There appears to be no criteria for "mass", nor reason/criteria to fork the current list. Dennis Brown (talk) 17:35, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
