removed: "In the ALCS, trailing three games to none against their rivals the New York Yankees, the Red Sox executed the greatest comeback in baseball history by winning four games in a row to send themselves to the World Series"
replaced with: "In the ALCS, trailing three games to none against their rivals the New York Yankees, the Red Sox won four games in a row to send themselves to the World Series. It was the first time in MLB playoff history that a team had rallied from a 3-0 series deficit to win a series."
Change was made to conform to NPOV.
This article does not appear to conform to NPOV. It appears to be written by someone who is clearly a Red Sox fan.
Nov. 4, 2007: It seems quite unlikely, if not impossible, that Theo Epstein worked 70-hour weeks for the Padres while studying full time at an ABA-accredited law school. That's because the ABA prohibits law students from working more than 20 hours per week while attending law school full time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.99.63.173 (talk) 20:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Epstein's first name is only Theo, not Theodore. Link here: http://www.yaledailynews.com/articles/view/6286?badlink=1
Trivia and Red Sox Fandom
There is no need for trivia in an encyclopedia entry. If it's trivial it should be gone. If it's pertinent to the article then incorporate it. As a Red Sox fan I will say that article is non-NPOV and that needs to be rectified. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Busterdawg (talk • contribs) 18:58:30, August 19, 2007 (UTC).
I believe the table 'Major League Baseball General Managers' is not showing John Schuerholz for Atlanta and Larry Beinfest for Florida. Instead is showing the managers Bobby Cox and Fredi Gonzalez. Baseball Managers are different than baseball General Managers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.32.89.125 (talk) 04:41, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject class rating
This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 06:17, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Any confirmation about Epstein passing California Bar?
Theo Epstein is not, and has never been, a member of the California Bar. It seems odd that he would take, and pass, the exam and never swear in. Is it actually true that he has passed the exam? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.109.233.239 (talk) 05:41, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Name
Can we please get definitive confirmation on what this guy's full name is? First it was mistakenly listed as Theodore instead of Theo, which is definitely incorrect. Now I see that his middle name has suddenly become Nathaniel when I'm almost 100% positive it's Nathan. Leslie Epstein said as much in the Boston Globe and I have to assume that he knows his own son's name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.163.65.10 (talk) 07:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Listed as Theo Nathan Epstein on his own charity website: http://www.foundationtobenamedlater.org/founders.html Confirmed by father in last paragraph of this article: http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2007/02/01/epsteins_father_admits_joking_about_wedding_site/
It's Nathan. Please stop changing it back to Nathaniel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.163.76.93 (talk) 05:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Zionist?
His religious/political views don't seem to be discussed, but he is listed as a Zionist. Is this correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.88.124.86 (talk) 19:46, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
