[Neutral Issue]- Why does it read "souvenir hunters" in regards to those who stole his personal affects and took his uniform after his death. He was in American captivity and his captors (i.e. American soldiers) looted his items in contradiction to international law. They should be labeled as "American looters" or "American bandits" rather than something as mundane, cute, and even innocent as "souvenir hunters." Is Herman Goring considered a "souvenir hunter" or a "collector" when articles discuss his looting art-work from across Europe? |
