NMIMS University has started the Integrated Master of Science-Doctor of Philosophy Programme to develop technically skilled manpower for industry.The NMIMS University has introduced Ph.D. programme in Chemical Sciences and Biological Sciences from the academic year commencing from July 2007. A feature of these programmes is the emphasis being laid on the overall development of laboratory skills of research students.

===School of Architecture===
The Balwant Sheth School of Architecture awards a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), under the five years degree program of NMIMS University. This degree program is recognized by the Council of Architecture. The university follows a trimester system.

The School offers B.B.A. and B.com (hons.) degrees. It follows a trimester system. It is a three year programme.

Currently there are 3 divisions/classes for a batch of BBA Programme and 1 division for Bcom Hons. Each Division consists of 60 students.

Strict rules like compulsory 80% attendance are followed in School of commerce.

The first batch of School of Commerce completed final trimester in April,2010. The convocation ceremony is on 28th May 2010 at Bhaidas Auditorium and UPG Building at Vile Parle.

==NMIMS Bangalore campus==
NMIMS set up a campus for executive management programs in Bangalore in 2008. It is also in the process of establishing a second modern hi-tech campus in the city spread across 13 acres for its full-time MBA programs.

It is also starting its centre in [[Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh|Hyderabad]]. The academic is likely to start in 2013 at [[Jadcherla]] on a 90-acre campus. The centre will have management, engineering and pharmaceutical streams by 2014–15 academic year.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a deemed university in Mumbai , India, which offers various courses such as full-time and part-time MBA, B.Tech, M.Tech, an integrated technology and management program MBA (Tech.), diploma programmes and graduate and post-graduate courses in architecture, pharmacy, science and commerce. It was founded in 1981 by the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), a public charitable trust, headed by Shri Amrish Patel, which has founded several other educational institutions in India. The present officiating Vice Chancellor of the university is Dr. Rajan Saxena. Prior to this engagement, Dr. Saxena had been at the helm of affairs at other leading B schools (as director at IIM Indore and at SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai).

Outlook

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies was established in 1981 by the order of the University of Mumbai. The institute commenced its activities with starting of Masters Degree Programme in Management Studies. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC) has accredited NMIMS University with Grade 'A' (Score 85-90%).[1]

Full Time MBA Programmes

All the two–year full time MBA programmes are spread over six trimesters and leading to the degree in Master of Business Administration.

The features of the MBA programmes provide a broad based education and help create specialized managers and leaders. Beginning 2008-10 session, the MBA Core program offers the degree in General Management. The students, however, are free to choose most of their courses (electives) in the second year which gives them the flexibility to pursue their interests and is on the similar lines of Harvard and other Ivy League B Schools.

The specialization MBA programmes, on the other hand, focus on specific areas and create highly skilled professionals and leaders catering to specific industry verticals.

NMIMS currently has overseas links with the University of EUROMED Marseille in France,[3] ESC ROUEN in France[4] and with ESSCA[5] at both its campuses, i.e. Angers in France and Budapest in Hungary. Admission process is 3-staged: 1) Written test (NMAT): Beginning 2010, NMAT is being conducted as a CBT (Computer-based Test), doing away with the Pen & Paper format, for good. The first ever series of online exams (January 31, 2010 to February 8, 2010) were managed by Pearsons, and were executed smoothly.[6] (Students clearing NMAT are eligible to appear in the next two stages of the appraisal process: 2) Group Discussion 3) Personal Interview
